Leo studied his wife's expression before turning to Andrei. "She's drunk. Escort Laura home. I'm taking Charmaine with me."
Andrei wanted to ask if they were heading elsewhere but he decided to just nod and quietly follow orders. He sensed it too, that Charmaine seemed different. He had never seen her with that expression before. It's as if she was betrayed, forsaken, or even tormented. Her eyes was staring daggers as if Leo had done something unforgivable.
"You said you won't hurt my friends anymore! Why do you keep doing these!"
Leo looked around and seeing no one else was watching heaved a sigh of relief. He hugged Charmaine briefly and then picked her up.
"Take care of Laura." he reminded Andrei before carrying Charmaine outside and into his car.
