Going through the Pewter City library for information I found out that the cave near Route 2 is called Diglett's Cave were mainly pokemon of the Diglett line are found. Mt. Moon is also the Region's only known fossil site that is in human territory. So on that notion I thought of getting some excavating tools to try and get some of these fossils.
After going through all those books I remembered that my system had a Observation/Research option. I thought that maybe it might be able to research the Bone typing on Pooch (Poochyena), so I asked if it was possible.
Sys: [Yes it is possible with a blood sample]
So with that answer I took out a syringe that I had in a medical bag I bought just before I started my journey to Kanto. And called out Pooch in front of the library, after taking a sample I went to go buy excavating tools and gear for Mt. Moon. The system told me I would have to wait an hour and a half for the results or just pay 150 SP, but when considering I had only 329,030 SP and would probably need it for more training guides and Pokeballs. Plus I am a very patient person.
Getting the excavation tool and gear I decided to head to Diglett's Cave as it's closer to my current location than Mt. Moon at the moment. Setting out that way with Pooch on guard at all times was quite fun. After walking for about a two hours, I spotted Ash and Misty coming out of Viridian Forest, if I didn't know any better I'd have thought they got lost.
Grey: Ash!! Misty!! Over here.
I said that as I waved towards them.
Ash: Huh.... Grey what are you doing going back towards Viridian? Pewter City is right behind you!
He didn't seem to understand that I might have already beat the Gym. So I told both of them just that, all while telling them where I'm going, as neither one of them seemed to want to go back to Viridian Forest after just getting out of there.
Leaving them I realized that the research must be done by now. Checking the option I found out a whole lot about the Bone type.

A rare type said to be rarer than even the Dragon type.
Those with this type often have it as a secondary type.
Those with this type are able to consume bones to grow stronger.

With the information of bone type and the new guide for pooch and bone types, I was more than a little overwhelmed. But still to think Pooch would be immune to electric attacks, now that I look at him more closely he is a lighter colour than other Poochyena I've seen. Now knowing that the results from the Observation/Research function are pretty good I wondered if maybe I should publish this information. But after thinking about it for abit I realized that everyone would want to know where I got this information from, and if I told them I had a system that could research for me they would think I'm crazy and probably stole this information.
After that depressing thought I reached Viridian Forest and now I recalled Pooch and started Sprinting through the forest. After half an hour I reached the middle point of the forest, but I needed a break so I called out all my pokemon to train them for a bit as I rested. Resting for two hours was all that was needed, and I recalled all my pokemon except Blaze (Torchic) as it wanted to say out and not go back in. With Blaze on my shoulder I raced through Viridian Forest and was finally on the southern side of Route 2. We searched around for a bit and found Diglett's Cave.
Going into the cave it was dark at first but my eyes adjusted quite a bit , to where it looked just like a moonlit room. Blaze on the other hand couldn't adjust to the darkness so I recalled it, it seemed to be a little bit sad at that. I through out Masked (Seedot) who has an early Dark typing, and it seemed to love this dark cave. Exploring the cave for a while both me and Masked realized that some of the pokemon in here are ones that don't really like interacting with humans much.
After a day in the cave I finally went back to the surface with Masked and set up camp. I also caught some new pokemon, they are Diglett regular and Alolan, Zubat, Happiny, Absol, Makuhita, Bronzor,
and a Shiny Chingling. I named them Mr. Mole, 'Airy, Batty, Ruby, Emblance, Sumo, Psycho-disc, and Charms. With these new members I didn't really need to buy anything except a Happiny Guide, as she needed it for her to reach her full potential as a Healer and Special Wall, it cost me 7,000 SP.
Resting up for the night Happiny wanted to check all of my pokemon so I sent them all out, then started making breakfast. With Happiny checking in on my pokemon I checked to make sure everyone was getting the results I wanted and bought a few everstones for Bug Thing (Wurmple), Smile (Spinarak), Fists (Ledyba), Free (Caterpie), Visor (Weedle), and Musician (Kricketot), as their power depends on the food and energy they store in their earlier stages. I spent a total of only 60 SP on Everstones as the system judges items based on the price given to them in stores and by people, and most of those people believe that their just useless rocks so the base price of 10 SP was given to them.
After breakfast we went through Viridian Forest for the third time, at this point I would say I am a master of getting through Viridian Forest in record breaking time. We arrived back at Pewter City by midday, so after recalling all my pokemon I headed for Route 3 and Mt. Moon.
