Ian tried to ignore the annoying spirit. But, no avail. The past three days were hell for him.
When he went to the market, spirits gathered around him. He tried his best to ignore them but he failed. Because of what happened, he locked himself in his study. He tried to figure out what was happening. But, only Witches can answer him.
"What this book is about?" asked Leon
"What do you want from me?" Shouted Ian
"Easy, stop ignoring me!" Leon raised an eyebrow.
"If I did, would you stop annoying me?"
"I just need someone to talk too, I feel lonely" exclaimed Leon in a sad voice.
Ian looked at the boy, he felt sorry for him.
"Ok, we can talk. But under one condition, don't talk to me when I am with others, by others I mean other human beings ok"
"I promise"
"I am Leon" he held a hand to Ian.
"Ian" he shook his hand.
"You know instead of locking yourself, look for someone like you. You know, the orphan girl!"
Ian eyed Leon interestingly "what did you say about the girl?"
"I heard that her power awakened on the same day yours did"
"You think we should observe"
"Yeah, I have been living for many years and no one has ever seen me" he paused as if he remembered something then said "until three days ago"
"What did happen?"
"Your power was calling for me I think. First I felt the poll toward your home. So, I entered… there was a dark shadow floating around. When I went to your study your hair had turned white so I gasped you looked at me and the rest is history…duh"
"So, spirits are attracted to me"
"Yeah" Leon nodded
"Ok, let's look for the girl, the Earth Kingdom; Capri is not far from here"
Ian and Leon headed to the Earth Kingdom, the citizens of the green empire can control the elements of earth, wood, rock, and clay, and metal. He wondered if the girl had heard the voice too.
"Ian, Ian" Leon float around him pointing to his right
"Can you see the black shadow following that man and his kid"
He looked around him and saw a man and a little kid, the man was smiling, he said something to the kid them picked him up. Around them was a dark shadowed figure. The shadow turned around looking at Ian and disappeared. That is strange, he turned around and the dark shadow was in front of him, he shouted and fell down. The shadow looked behind Ian. Ian turned around and the hooded man had taken off his hood. The man looked at him and smiled the little boy was waving and jumping saying "hello there", the man nodded and picked up his kid and walked down the road. The kid kept waving at him.
" I thought he saw me… for seconds I thought, I thought he smiled at me"
Ian looked at Leon, he felt that too. For a moment he thought the man was not only looking Leon but at the dark shadow.
"Let's go! the orphanage is there." It took them one hour to arrive at the orphanage. Spirits were everywhere.
As soon as they reached the door of the orphanage it started raining. He knocked, a little boy opened the door.
"Hi there"
"Can, I talk to the owner…" the little boy dragged him inside.
Inside, little heads turned looking to him. An old lady was gasping " oh my boy! You are the second stranger he touched"
Ian looked perplexed "Sorry, mam"
"Call me Matilda"
"Ok Matilda, I heard that a girl was living here her power has awakened… I want to talk to her."
"She is not here," said the little boy who dragged him inside.
Ian looked at the boy and smiled. " I think I came late then"
"She went to the white empire" Ain looked to a girl wearing blue grown and seating next to Matilda.
"Really," he said looking at her
"Yeah, she is not here," said another girl. The girl has purple hair
Ian looked at the little boys and girls. Not all of them were human.
"Some of them are spirit", Leon said
"you are like him you can see ghosts"
He turned to the little boy
"What?"
Leon appeared suddenly in front of the kid and shout "poo"
The little boy fell down, looking from Leon to Ian.
Ian hit Leon on his head.
"That hurts!! I was just joking with him"
" you can see ghosts", asked a little girl on the table
"Leon is not a ghost his a spirit. But, the kids around you are indeed ghosts"
"You are like Aiden", said a little boy
"My boy you should leave", said matilda
"But" he tried to argue
"You do not save here" .. "go and look for Aiden I think he has answers of your questions"
"Listen to her, leave now. I will go with you" said the girl with purple hair
"Thanks, I will leave"
He started walking out then stopped and turned to Matilda "does Aiden has a little golden-haired kid?"
"Yeah, he has" the old lady replied.
"Thanks"
Matilda and the kids saw Veronica and the man and the spirit walked out of the orphanage. After a while, the other ghost kids disappeared.
"Will he help Linda?" asked Mark
"He will, didn't you see. He is like Aiden" said lee
"I was happy...I saw my friends for the last time" said Jenny
"Me too, I am happy I saw them again", said Mary
"Let's pray for our friend's safety," said Matilda
"Ok"
Matilda thought that what happened to her girl was not a coincidence. The appearance of Aiden in her orphanage, then the visit of the young man.. was not something to take for granted. Something big was going to happen.

Ian walked out, it was his luck, the rain had stopped. By night he was in his house. He walked upstairs heading to his study. He closed the door and shut the windows. "
Where did Linda go" he asked the little girl.
"She was asked to go to the white kingdom. She is not the only one who has awakened. Five others have. You and Aiden are like her I think"
"So, five days ago others have gone through the same thing as me"
"Yes at the same time"
"Did you hear a voice calling for you?" asked Veronica
"How did you know"
"Linda heard a voice telling her not to worry"
"Why I am in danger"
"Black shadow came to he orphanage, he warned Aiden and asked him to leave. That is why matilda asked you to leave…..Aiden felt the danger, am sure.. think that is why he decided to leave"
"What?
Wait, did you say a dark shadow"
"Yeah, it was scared at first when the dark shadow appeared and warned him about something He said witched were around and that he should leave before they sense his powers"
"That is why the little kid asked me if it could see ghosts too"
"It wasn't hard to notice, I mean the orphanage is full of ghosts. Before you knock, everyone saw us"
"What do you mean?"
"All the kids were ghosts except matilda and…."
" the four kids" Ian finished the sentence for her.
Veronica looked at him astonished," I noticed that Matilda and kids around her are human" he continued.
" You are right. Mark, Lee, Jenny, Mary and Matilda are not ghosts."
"Matilda noticed that something is wrong. Before you came, she wasn't able to see us. But suddenly they could see us again. The other kids were shocked but said nothing"
"How can normal people see ghosts?"
"Easy, you saw the man…. obviously he has similar powers....and you without noticing you made them visible to the normal people."
"I did that"
"Yeah", said Leon and Veronica
"We should go now" Ian stood up. He walked to his closet he picked the ag and put in it his clothes and two of his books in it
"If Aiden left, we should leave too", said Ian
"We are we heading?" asked, Leon
"To the white empire" replied Ian
"But, first as not to catch the attention you too are going to ask the spirits about the others."
"And Aiden," asked Veronica
"No, don't ask about him. I don't know why but feel like I should protect him"
"By the way, I am Ian and this is Leon. What is your name?"
"I am Veronica"
