Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Speaking of theories or rather knowledge about cultivation in my previous life on the influence of the three treasures on the awakening of one's martial soul

Although my previous assumption aren't wrong a shift in framework is needed as I now lean towards the three treasures

Any martial soul has three sides which respectively represent a person's bloodline, spirit power, and mental force collectively called elements of the spirit which correspond to the three treasures .

This is a stable structure; under normal circumstances, it is very difficult to destroy it. That's why the Spirit Master cultivation system has been able to continue for tens of thousands of years, and it's also very difficult to modify it.

However, there are differences between people, just as there are no two identical leaves in the World, there are no completely identical people in the World.

Even with the same Spirit, appearing identical, there are differences in the spirit power and mental force within. But no matter how great the difference, the overall structure of the Spirit remains unchanged; it is a triangle!

And the total length of these three sides represents the current physical quality of the human body, including body, aura, mental force, and so on.

If a person's bloodline power is very strong, but their mental force is average, to ensure the stability of the Spirit, their spirit power will be very high... But no matter how high, the three combined still represent that person's physical quality at the current stage!"

Since the formation of the spirit ha a stable structure. Any change in one of the Three Elements will cause changes in the other two. As long as the sum of two of the can outweigh the third, the Spirit can be stably inherited, and the overall structure always remains a triangle.

If the sum of two doesn't outweigh the third then it will cause the Spirit to self-compensate, which is mutation!

For example, when bloodline is insufficient, the Spirit will excavate more bloodline power from the body, including from parents, or even ancestors.

When spirit power is insufficient, it will also excavate higher Innate Spirit Power from within the body—which is what can be called 'beneficial mutation'!'

The physical strength you consume can be replenished through eating, and the spirit power you consume can be restored through cultivation, but what about the mental force you consume? You can recover it just by sleeping!

Physical strength and spirit power both require external replenishment, so why doesn't mental force? Because it is inherently infinite and boundless, constantly in a state of consumption and replenishment.

What we consume is only a very small part of the mental force we can normally access! When a Spirit awakens, it only excavates a portion from that infinite mental force to form the mental force component.

The most perfect cultivation is naturally when the three elements of the Spirit are balanced, like the three sides of a triangle being equal in length. This not only allows for a high tolerance for error but also promises a sufficiently broad future.

The goal determines the achievement. When a person sets their goal at thirty levels, they will value combat power more than the Spirit itself!

Conversely, if a person sets their goal further away, then even if they have little combat power in the early stages, they will focus more on the future of the Spirit.

Among the many cultivation concepts in my previous life would be very safe to say that the martial soul would be a reflection of a person's path as the relationship between Spirit, bloodline, and spirit power; perhaps it's the same principle as 'human'.

It can be seen as the combination of 'Essence', 'Qi', and 'Spirit'!

'Essence' exists in matter, and 'Spirit' exists in the void. They are distinct, like being in different dimensions, unable to interfere with each other, but they can influence each other through the circulation of 'Qi'.

Similarly, Spirit comes from the manifestation of the soul, given shape and attributes through the bloodline, but it is ultimately illusory and intangible.

However, through the cultivation of spirit power, one can materialize the Spirit… speaking of cultivation it is described in my previous life

Refining Essence into Qi, refining Qi into Spirit. When the body is healthy, the Qi within is sufficient. When Qi is sufficient, it nurtures Spirit… So what about refining Spirit to return to emptiness?

These theories from my previous life, in a World without the extraordinary, became something akin to 'philosophy'. But placed in a World with the extraordinary, they became a grand avenue!

The three treasures of the human body: 'Essence', 'Qi', and 'Spirit'. When these three treasures are sublimated to their peak, one can achieve 'Three Flowers Gathering at the Crown' and transcend the mundane.

And the three treasures of the Douluo Continent are Spirit, spirit power, and mental force. Cultivation also follows this grand avenue.

When these three are cultivated to their peak, perhaps that is the path to transcendence as the basis of cultivation in this world a martial soul definitely isn't simple as bloodline and energy intensity

A martial soul is a combination of 'essence,' 'qi,' and 'Spirit,' or one could say, bloodline, the circulation of qi, and the combination of Spirit. These three complement each other."

There is a limit to the 'three treasures' that a person can carry, restricted by invisible shackles. The cultivation of a Spirit Master is a step-by-step process of breaking these shackles, ultimately transcending the ordinary!

Any titled douluo has at least nine soul rings and nine which holds great symbolism

A Soul Master's first three spirit rings determine the direction of their martial soul so I won't rigidly follow soul master classification although they are undoubtedly useful to create a template for one's own development as at the end of the day a soul master needs to develop their martial soul

Once the direction is set, everything else is just the accumulation of spirit power.

The later spirit rings are not just about the accumulation of spirit power; they also require expansion based on the Spirit's original foundation, so it is natural that cultivation slows down the higher the realm.

Thanks to my cultivation technique I quickly reached level 10 although the teachers in the academy usually don't hunt a hundred year soul beast it has more to do with requirements for absorption and dangers involved in the process of hunting

How can a plant spirit be considered complete without roots?

I am lucky in that my target for the first soul ring has no combat ability so hunting it won't be a huge problem my target is the 400 year old tyrant grass although it has no combat ability it's vitality and roots are extremely developed that no plant life can be found within 300 meters around it and hard to pull off giving me the soul skill blue silver rooting

This soul skill allows my blue silver grass to take root and absorb energy from the earth theoretically extend infinitely underground and use the power of earth to help me fuel my soul skills and sustain my blue silver grass martial soul
