As the sky gradually darkened, the zombie attacks finally turned into sporadic skirmishes.
The corpses on the ground were waiting for them to digest... Their desire for evolution finally outweighed the stimulation from the blood.
Listening to the chewing and tearing noises coming from outside the wall, the Falcon members who had just relaxed a bit showed somber expressions.
"What's the point of this battle? Zombies will reproduce, they will evolve, we are just helping them speed up survival of the fittest..."
Such thoughts swirled in many minds, but none were willing to dwell further.
Live one day at a time...
However, they still had a fresh topic to discuss... tonight's meeting.
"Has the meeting started now?" A sniper, having just shot the head off a zombie outside the wall, muttered quietly.
"Yeah." His companion beside him answered briefly.
Hopefully this will be an opportunity to change the current status...
Yet, they all tacitly kept this hope unspoken.
