Zombies pursuing freedom and even forming an alliance for it?
Most humans wouldn't believe it.
But Ling Mo has seen a lot of zombies, and there are several around him who often don't look like typical zombies.
Ultimately, zombies were once humans, still retaining memories of being human. However, since the disaster, humans and zombies have been mortal enemies, so humans can't see this layer of truth and don't want to. Zombies should be killed; otherwise, what about the survivors who killed their loved ones and friends back then? How would they feel?
This issue is impossible to contemplate, so it's better not to think about it. No matter how much zombies have in common with humans, they are no longer human; they are monsters.
