Skraal did not understand many things about Erig is saying but he get the underlying meaning of it.
He basically tells him that, in the Feravil Dungeon life does not just appear in one form.
There may be ghost-type beings, golems and similar things and they may behave completely different from what he expect.
"Now I get why the entrance is protected and not any wandering origin-user could enter as they wish."
"If they do not prove their power and worth."
"It's simple to understand," he thought.
"Every powerful place needs a barrier. Whether to keep people out… or protect them from what's inside."
In Erig's case, it seemed to be both.
Skraal recognized the role the bird-man played was more nuanced than it appeared.
He wasn't simply guarding the dungeon's treasure or gate.
He was protecting others the ones who dared enter. Erig wasn't just a lock on a door. He was a measure of preparation.
"I think, I am ready to enter." Skraal said looking at Erig.
