Derik and the assassin lady set out for the central area of the continent. After the previous night's chat, Derik found out the lady is called black and since then she didn't bother remaining invisible since Derik could always tell when she is around.
Just like that emperor said, the lady carried a transmission crystal that allowed people to watch Derik in action from her view. Most of the journey for that day was silent since neither side talked to each other. While Derik pondered on the information given to him by the assassin about the royal family, black on the other hand was just too afraid of Derik to speak. After everything that happened the previous night, she was sure of two things.
Derik won't hesitate to kill her when the time comes and she also suspected that Derik is not the child everyone thinks he is. She felt like he was something more diabolic in Dean's body or Dean's power had consumed him, snatching control of his body but none of that mattered to Derek.
