Entering a foreign god vein as a god is as good as suicide if the gods of that new god vein are hostile. The god vein will suppress their abilities not allowing them to showcase their full might in battle, it will put them in a disadvantaged position. So unless Derik has a solid plan, there is no reason for him to go over there, considering his realm and current strength too.
