Max, Mercy, John, Bruce, and Morgan for some reason had Pamela and Harleen tag along. Seeing as Max had a private jet that ran on solar fuel was beside the point. Pamela loved the thing and wished Max to push further in the avenue.
Max and Cheetah/Circe got in an argument. A very bad one before Max closed the call. She wanted him to spend more time with the Amazons delegation that reached out. Considering he had a country that could slowly introduce the Amazons to Man's World as they put it.
When Max told her of the fact they are originally part of Man's World and children of men as well pissed her off. The mention of the barbaric custom that the previous Queen did to the males born did not go well. Hippolyta was a much better one in his opinion. However, he was not to happy to find out that Diana's mirror copy or clone Donna existed on Earth. Made no damn sense.
"Max you can do so much, how is it true?" Pamela asked. Max just smirked at her. He would not say anything unless she signed a contract. Which she turned down already. "So frustrating sometimes I swear."
"Awww calm down Red. We are getting a free ride to California!" Harleen said. "Thanks for the invite Ms.Fey!"
"Of course. If Selina could have made it, I think it would have been even better." Morgan gave her a smile. To Max it was very honest. "I think everything will be fine. As long as you both behave. I know Max will not."
"I plan to do only a little work." Max mumbled reading something from his tablet. "Bruce will go with you all as me and John search something. I already know John will not listen to me when I tell him not to do something."
John was looking out the window still. The first lead on his mother and he was still unable to calm down. His mentor Giovanni told him it was to small of a chance. But made sure that he understood they were looking into the other possible lead.
"It is his mother, so to be expected." Mercy said. Dressed in jeans and running shoes, her clothing had all types of magic glyphs that housed up to a small armory in it. "Just wish I could come with."
"The others will need you." Max said leaning over to her. "None of them understand how dangerous it can be. Even with our security watching as well. Just try to enjoy yourself slightly as well. It is Spring Break." She gave him a nod understanding.
"I do not understand why not just have the authorities look into things." Bruce said. "I mean, they would be the best at finding things outright."
"Not all the time. Police have red tape to clear." Max said. "Besides, his mother was removed from missing persons and marked as someone who abandoned her child. Things are not so cut and dry."
"What are you going to do if you run into trouble?" Bruce asked. Max just blinked at him. "More stuff like what happened at the beach?" Pamela and Harleen listened a little more intently. Wanting to know about it themselves. Considering Selina came back training even harder since then. "Haaa so many secrets Max."
"You call them secrets, I just call it life." Max smiled. A demon got in contact with him as the plane landed. 'You found who!?'
'The Amazon hag Derinoe. She is on the watch list still from what I have read.' The Tracker demon thought back. 'Do you wish for me to apprehend her?'
'No. I rather you not risk your life. Track and stay back no matter what.' Max, new the woman was powerful. But the problem was why she was currently here. 'Why this iteration to deal with?'

'Tsk!' Max did not like the sound of this. 'We will focus on John's thing mostly. Then the amazon connection. No way am I going to break my word to him.' As if feeling Max's anger, John turned to him. "John, we will hit the ground running. Try not to get distracted with the news we find."
"Understood." John nodded with a forceful smile.
'I will have to deploy some forces here to take care of the Amazon issue.' Max thought about a few contract holders. 'The Saint Dumas folks are still recovering from the escalation of the Gang War. I already have Sportsmaster card full of work. Teth-Adam is doing a lot oversees already. Hmm, I wonder if Nyssa has some forces available?'
Max sent a message out to her. It would be awhile before she would have a definite answer. A small inkling of Max's Spirit Energy and magic thrummed. His eye burned for some reason. Something would happen to him here that would change things.

Several amazons were gathered in a courtyard. Circe/Cheetah standing before them for the first time in a long time. Next to her was Gaia. Much to the Amazons amazement. they heard tales of the Titaness/Goddess but never thought they would meet her.
Gaia had a small gift for them. As well as something to help make them stronger.
"It is good to see such healthy people amongst you."
"Glad to see you return home. it would only be better if.." Hippolyta stopped speaking as she felt a small wind. Instantly a few other women appeared in togas. ".. greetings Goddesses."
*Thump!* All the amazons kneeled at once. Paying respects to the women that just arrived. Feeling her critical gaze, they slightly shivered.
"Get up. None of you are in trouble. We were just confirming some things is all." Athena said calmly. "The majority of them are pregnant from the excursion. A few with twins. Some with males."
"Before any of you turn violent, or upset, things are changing." Hera said. Getting everyone's attention. "This will happen once and only once. I.. am sorry how some of you were treated in the past. I was in a place of anger from how my filthy husband.."
"Mother.." Aphrodite stopped her from going off slightly.
"I mean the King of the Gods acted." Hera said tersely. "I forget how much it affected women that were close to me. Athena, will remain here to help you lose some of that hatred."
"I hope that does not mean we are allowing a bunch of men to come here." Carina said. Voice thoughts of most of them.
"No." Hera said strongly. "But a more open policy of those who wish to travel out. Paradise is different for a lot of you. And I know some are caught by wanderlust. And wish to change a lot in the world."
"Which is why, we are encouraging a few you to venture forth for a little. Human's call it foreign exchange programs really. Just a year or so. Time hear is faster here by a good margin, so to those who remain it would be a lot longer."
"Would that leave us vulnerable here?" Artemis asked.
"That is why it is brought up now. During the time of replenishment. I also am here to boost you all even further." Gaia said. "I need the strongest women to bear the seed of my champion."
"Eh, who could that be?" Diana wondered. "I never knew you had a male champion."
"You met him already." Aprodite teased. Seeing a few of them look lost, she gave a hint. "You fought his student Diana."
"The boy Max!" Artemis looked gobsmacked. "The champion is a child!"
"Daughter shut up!" The Goddess Artemis yelled. This was more shocking for several others. They had know idea she was a daughter of Goddess. But thinking over how rough she was, it made since. They each eyed them both amused. "Stop looking at me like that!"
"Calm down sister." Athena tried to comfort her. "This is the reason your worship is dropping as it is. We need to try a softer approach. Or we will end up like mother." They both gave Hera a slight glance.
"You are absolutely right. Do not want to be like that." Artemis mumbled.
"You little brats!" Hera was about to clobber the two of them. But calmed herself seeing Gaia smirking. "You think this is funny as well?"
"Yes." Gaia said as she pulled her into a hug. "Family does fight my dear. And more than anything, it does good to let them see you are normal. Having pain and suffering as well as scuffles is very natural. A cold bitch will give you nothing but pain. Like before."
"Haaa, I need a vacation." Hera sighed. looking around the island she smiled. "I think I will stay here for a while. I want to be around for the births and talk to my daughters anyway. Find out what they do not understand. Athena, you are in charge."
"Umm, ok." Athena answered. It would not be the first time she had left her in charge. Just lousy timing at this moment. she want to walk on Earth for a bit. Seeing Artemis nearby still slightly tense, a plan came to mind. "Artemis, sister.. I think you should help me. High time you have a little more responsibility. Something to show father when he wakes up."
"Deal!" Artemis was happy for the chance. She turned to her daughter. "You are going to England. As well as the Amazon Aresia. Both of you have to much aggression and hate in your heart still. I will be damned if my daughter and her lover cause genocide."
"What genocide?" Artemis looked completely lost. "How do you know about me and Aresia?"
"Ask your grandmother. She is the one who told me." Artemis and Athena turned to leave. "Oh, I left a gift for you in your bedroom. Do me proud! I will be watching!"
"A bunch of new sisters.." Diana said. She couldn't wait to meet them. But looking at the urn and weird cylinders Gaia held out to several amazons begged the question. "What is this stuff?" She poked a cylinder curious.
"The humans made a method to impregnate women. With out the use of copulating." Gaia said slightly frowning. "An act out of love traditionally. But in a way for women who can not find someone, or have a problem with men. Which a lot of you can not bring your self to doing."
"Things have changed a lot." Hippolyta said. A solution that was solved had already passed but they never notice it. "This will help a lot of our sisters. A lot of them wish to be mothers."
"Including you." Gaia said. "I know you wish to have more children. You enjoying being a mother as much as you enjoy being a queen. Much love to give."
"She is right. I hear your silent prayers, Queen Hippolyta." Aphrodite moved over. Eyes lit up as she waved her hands on several amazons. "Several of you wished it over the centuries but could not see yourself forgiving men. So here is the chance."
Boudicca and Tharna were lit up. Both of them only interested in the last few years however. Mostly because of Diana. She made them want to have daughters of their own.
"Now Hippoly, I have a much bigger surprise for you." Gaia moved her away. "My champion is on his way to an area where your former lover happens to be. She is not lost just yet. Derinoe has been found and he will reverse her problem. No need for her to live in solitude from anyone anymore."
"Can not imagine the Goddess Hectae taking kindly to this." Hippolyta said. "I still do not know why she left one day."
"I have dealt with her already." Gaia said grimly. "Sher soul has already entered rebirth, I will make sure she pays still in the future. The moment she steps out of place will be her downfall."

As Max and John investigated, a force above watched them closely. A man dressed in armor had tracked them down with a powerful spell from his aster Shazamo. California would turn into a terrible fighting zone if things go bad.
