Angelica Lee quickly snatched a designer cardigan from a nearby chair, draped it gracefully over her silk nightwear to compose herself, and slowly pulled the door open.
The tactical team leader immediately took an imposing step forward into the doorway.
"You are Angelica Lee?" The leader asked, his voice flat and devoid of emotion.
"Yes." Angelica Lee answered, nodding with practised composure despite the cold knot of dread tightening in her chest. "May I ask why the People Security Bureau is standing outside my private residence at this ungodly hour?"
