The woman´s tears fell silently. She talked to the other servants beside and ordered a clear broth to be brought over for her lady to sip and gain her strenght back. Mei drank the whole thing under her watchful care and smiled when the older lady was accomodated on a chaise beside the bed. The other maids attentively brought a warm blanket for Nanny Coco as she was set to keep guard beside her until the Lord returned. When the other maids left, Mei reached for the older lady´s hands and squeezed gently.
-I was so scared my Lady-Nanny said-it was all so dangerous. But I see you were right in rushing here to negotiate with Lord Shen. Now you are going to be safe living here and far from the clutches of that beast-
It seemed things were not cool at home and her life was one of those filled with drama. Nanny Coco was touched to hear that.
