Chapter 6 - NEW HEART ATTACK.

Shyla was taken aback by the scolding and didn't know what to say. "This is the first time I feel so helpless… and it's because of this book… ridiculous," she thought, keeping her other thoughts deep inside so she wouldn't make it furious again. She knew this time even begging wouldn't help. Quietly, she waited, trying to distract herself. She tried thinking about everything happening around her to make sense of it, but the book had stopped scolding and moved slightly away. That puzzled her… but what happened next cleared her doubts.

The book floated in the air. "DIDN'T YOU FEEL ANYTHING WITH YOUR HANDS… STUPID BRAT!" it yelled again, annoyingly. Shyla raised her brow, speechless. "This book just needs a reason to scold me… what was there to feel, huh?" she thought, irritated. She felt scared to death, almost felt her tears leaving her eyes, but held them back. "Why the hell are you doing this? Wasn't scaring me enough already? Now something else? I think you've made up your mind to kill me with confusion and shock. I almost had a heart attack before… now a new one is coming!" she said to the book in her mind, terrified and annoyed.

Shyla watched carefully. "Shyla… what is happening? Am I hallucinating? Is this book actually floating?" she asked herself blankly.

"SHUT UP! YOU ARE AN EYE SORE! FIRST I THOUGHT YOU HAD BRAIN ISSUES, BUT WHO KNEW YOU ALSO HAVE AN EYE PROBLEM? DIDN'T YOU SEE ME AT THE BEGINNING?"

"HEY! CARE TO REPEAT? WHO HAS BRAIN ISSUES? YOU! YOU ARE THE ABNORMAL ONE, NOT ME! HOW CAN A BOOK DO ALL THIS? THERE WAS NOTHING TO SEE FIRST!" she shouted in her head.

"Will you shut up and let me speak? FIRSTLY, I AM NOT A BOOK, STUPID GIRL, SO STOP CALLING ME A BOOK!"

Shyla didn't react this time. She was maybe used to its behavior. Still, she froze at what it said. "Wait… you're not a book? Am I dreaming? This is the weirdest dream ever… Do I have anything else to say? This joke is insane… even I didn't laugh. Stop messing," she muttered to herself.

The book ignored her nonsense. Its patience was thin—it could only bear her stupidity because she was its master's child, "stupid girl."

Shyla pushed all her thoughts aside when the book started glowing again. She didn't know what to feel, what to think. She tried convincing herself it was just a dream, that tomorrow she'd wake up and nothing would be like this. But who was she kidding? This wasn't a dream. This was reality.

The book floated, glowing brightly. It closed slowly, revealing its front cover—a beautiful, intricate design. Shyla stared at it blankly, thinking, "Maybe… this is the only reason Dad brought this book… yeah, that must be it."

The book seemed to read her thoughts. It sighed, slightly taken aback. "She's really stupid and brainless… the only reason she can think of for why I was brought is the design… what the hell?"
