Chapter 199 - Chapter 199: The Tetra-Elemental Harmonization

Three days had passed since the brutal condensation of the Dark Flame Core.

Inside the heavily warded courtyard of Peak 74, Fang Lin stood perfectly still, his eyes closed, his breathing slow and rhythmic. He was not resting. He was plunging the depths of his newly formed foundation.

His internal world was a masterpiece of structural impossibility. The Frost, Life, and Death Cores formed a triangular base, while the Dark Flame Core burned as the apex above them. Together, the four cores aligned in a three-dimensional Astral Tetrahedron that rotated around the central void of his Dantian, forming the flawless Four-Pointed Astral Star.

As Fang Lin willed it, the Four-Pillared Cosmic Cycle activated.

Spiritual energy rushed through his newly expanded meridian network. The four Core Forces fed into one another in a flawless, self-sustaining loop. The Dark Flame's heat was tempered by Frost; the Frost's stagnation was shattered by Death; Death's decay was countered by Life; and Life provided boundless fuel for the Dark Flame.

Fang Lin threw a heavy punch into the empty air, unleashing a massive shockwave of physical force. Instantly, the Cosmic Cycle spun, and his depleted stamina recovered before his fist even finished its trajectory.

His Qi recovery was now virtually instantaneous. He was an engine of perpetual violence.

*"Do not just marvel at the structure,"* the Dark Flame Spirit's raspy voice echoed in his Spiritual Sea, laced with a terrifying pride. *"Test the flame."*

Fang Lin raised his right hand. A silent, Dark-red flame flickered to life over his palm. It didn't emit light or outward heat; it simply existed, consuming the ambient energy around it.

Through his absolute connection to the core, the innate properties etched into the flame became clear to him. He hadn't just gained a new element; he had unlocked three devastating innate abilities born from the Spirit's true origin.

The first was *Abyssal Consumption*. If an enemy attacked him with Qi constructs or physical weapons, the Dark Flame could devour the attack, instantly converting the kinetic or spiritual energy into pure thermal fuel to replenish his own body.

The second was the *Annihilation Domain*. By expanding the Dark-red flame into a ten-foot invisible aura around his body, any low-level projectiles, weak spells, or fragile Qi constructs entering the domain would be instantly incinerated into nothingness before they even touched his skin.

The third was the most vicious: the *Dark Flame Imprint*. A concentrated strike that left a black burn mark on a target. It acted as a parasite, continuously incinerating the enemy's spiritual energy from the inside out until their Dantian was drained dry.

Fang Lin clenched his fist, extinguishing the flame. The sheer lethality of his arsenal had skyrocketed.

Fang Lin shifted his focus inward, up to his Spiritual Sea. Where there was once a solid, clay-like soul, there was now a flawless, multifaceted gemstone radiating pure, heavy spiritual light. He had successfully shattered the bottleneck and stepped into the Crystal Soul Realm.

The most immediate change was terrifyingly profound. When Fang Lin looked around his courtyard, he wasn't just processing one thought. He was actively calculating the ambient temperature of the air, mapping out the microscopic stress fractures in the stone floor, analyzing the flow of the Peak's earth-fire array, and mentally reviewing a complex forging manual—all simultaneously, without a single drop in focus.

Multi-threaded thinking. His brain had become a supreme computational array.

Armed with this cognitive evolution, Fang Lin had spent the last two days comprehending the next level of the *Soul Metamorphosis Technique*. The ancient manual had yielded two terrifying new soul skills.

The first was the *Crystal Soul Spear*. By compressing his immense soul strength into a physical, crystalline spear, he could launch an attack that entirely bypassed physical armor and Qi defenses, directly striking and shattering the enemy's Spiritual Sea.

The second was *Soul Splintering*. Utilizing his multi-threaded thinking, Fang Lin could now fracture microscopic, invisible 'splinters' of his own consciousness. By attaching a splinter to an object or a person, he could actively track their location and spy on them, hearing and sensing everything they did from hundreds of miles away.

*I am a different monster entirely now,* Fang Lin thought, a genuine smile touching his lips.

However, raw power was useless without absolute control. He needed to test if his Crystal Soul could successfully manage the Four-Pointed Astral Star in a practical setting.

He walked over to his forging anvil. From his storage ring, he retrieved a jagged, leftover scrap of Thousand-Year Violet-Iron—the exact same metal that had taken him two agonizing months of pure physical hammering to shape for Lin Wan.

This time, he didn't pick up a hammer.

Fang Lin activated his Crystal Soul, dedicating four separate threads of absolute focus to his Dantian.

He summoned the Dark Flame Core. A thread of silent, Dark-red fire shot from his finger, wrapping around the Violet-Iron. Normally, it would require a Nascent Soul expert's true fire to melt this metal. Under the Dark Flame, the supreme metal began to instantly liquify, turning into bubbling, violet slag within seconds.

The heat threatened to vaporize the metal entirely.

Instantly, Fang Lin channeled the Frost Core. A wave of absolute stillness washed over the anvil, perfectly tempering the material to prevent it from vaporizing, holding the liquid metal in a precise state of malleability.

Simultaneous to this, he channeled the Death Core. A heavy, gravitational pressure descended upon the liquid metal, forcefully compressing its density, squeezing out microscopic impurities that even a master smith's hammer would miss.

Because of the flawless synergy of the Four-Pillared Cosmic Cycle, he felt no backlash whatsoever. He could channel all four extremes simultaneously as easily as breathing.

Frost tempered. Death compressed. Dark Flame melted. Life sustained.

Fang Lin's eyes glowed with intense spiritual light. He was weaving four opposing Core Forces together in perfect harmony, a feat that would cause any ordinary cultivator to explode.

Within minutes, the violent liquid settled. The fire vanished, the frost receded, and the gravity lifted.

Resting on the anvil was a perfectly smooth, impossibly dense ingot of Violet-Iron. It was flawless. It lacked a single impurity, and its structural integrity was far superior to anything he had forged with his hammers.

Fang Lin picked up the ingot, admiring the terrifying efficiency of what he had just created.

"The Tetra-Elemental Harmonization Technique," Fang Lin whispered, naming the impossible forging method.

He had intended to use the Black Tortoise Sect's resources to learn array-carving and improve his forging. Instead, he had completely transcended the very concept of traditional smithing.

His foundation was absolutely perfect. It was time to return to the public eye.

Far away from the Black Tortoise Sect, within the hidden, sealed depths of the World-in-a-Jar Mansion.

The ancient, spectral figure of the Mansion Spirit floated within his crystalline pavilion. He was surrounded by countless glowing jade slips, documenting the laws, techniques, and secrets of a bygone era.

Suddenly, the Mansion Spirit stopped. The jade slip in his spectral hand slipped, shattering against the crystalline floor.

He slowly turned his head, his gaze piercing through the void, looking toward the direction of the Demon Immortal Continent.

For the first time in countless thousands of years, absolute, unadulterated awe filled his ancient eyes.

"He... didn't die," the Mansion Spirit whispered, his voice trembling with a mixture of disbelief and profound shock. "A four-pointed rotational structure... centrifugal stability... to perfectly bypass the gravitational rejection of the natural law."

The Mansion Spirit sank to his knees, his spectral form shivering as he grasped the sheer impossibility of what the boy had just achieved.

"He has broken the natural order," the spirit muttered, his eyes wide. "He has forged an entirely new path to the heavens."

Somewhere impossibly far away, separated by an unknown number of starry rivers and dimensional barriers, lay a realm of absolute desolation.

Within this realm floated a ruined, ancient throne room, suspended within a shattered starry sky. Colossal pillars of black stone, fractured by ancient wars, drifted in the silence.

At the center of the debris, sitting upon a jagged throne of obsidian, a figure rested in shadow.

Slowly, a pair of ancient eyes opened in the darkness.

The figure tilted its head, sensing a minute, almost imperceptible ripple across the fabric of reality. It was a faint tremor—the birth of a profound structural anomaly.

A low, rumbling chuckle echoed out from the throne. It was a sound entirely devoid of emotion, neither malicious nor benevolent, yet it carried a weight that caused the surrounding shattered stars to tremble in fear.

The entity continued to laugh into the void, its intentions utterly unknowable, as it closed its eyes once more.
