"Not to everyone."
Diya stopped chewing on her steak and looked up at Ajay with confusion.
Although Ajay had rejected her offer, Diya somehow convinced him to eat lunch with her. They were eating their meal in silence when Ajay said that out of nowhere.
"Uh?"
"I don't usually help others, less a stranger." Ajay continued to eat like he didn't just make Diya more confused.
Then she remembered. It was the reply to what she had said in the hospital that morning. The second she understood what he said, she started blushing. She wanted to ask 'Then why me?' but she stopped herself and continued to eat.
The effect of the day before's incident still remained in her and she didn't expect it to go away any sooner. She thought she was raped when she woke up in the hospital that morning and the possibility of it if Ajay didn't show up to save her, terrified her. But she felt secure and protected whenever she was with him.
After finishing their meal, they paid the bill and stopped in front of the restaurant to bid goodbye. "Thank you once again, Mr. Ajay. I hope you enjoyed the meal."
"Ajay. Just call me Ajay.". Diya hesitated for a while and nodded her head. They waved at each other and went back their own way.
Karl gave Ajay a file when he got in the car. "His name's Rowan. Principal of sunshine kindergarten. He has molested a few young teachers and fired a teacher for reporting him. The police didn't take any action because of his status. The said status is that he has a powerful cousin backing him.".
"KM Corporation." Karl nodded at Ajay. "Yes. He is Kavin's cousin and Sara's uncle. I blacklisted him as you said. He won't be able to work anywhere ever again. His life's over. How dare that bastard touch my sister-in-law. But, look forward to a visit from them. I heard that Kavin treasures his family the most.".
"I'll take care of them. What happened to the shares?". "Don't worry about that. Mr. Chong agreed to buy it. Kavin is still thinking that Mr. Chong's on his side. I'm looking forward to the board meeting to see his reaction. Haha," with that, they drove away.
Diya took a bath and sat in front of the tv and turned on her favorite drama as she wanted to divert her mind from thinking about what ifs. She was halfway through it when her phone rang. She avoided it once but she had no choice but to pause the drama when her phone continued to ring.
Diya didn't want to pick up the phone after seeing Tasha's name on the screen. No good things had happened whenever Tasha called her continuously.
"Hello?" Diya could feel her voice tremble. "He-hello. Diya." Tasha was crying. Diya took a deep breath to calm down and asked her, "What happened?".

Diya grabbed her handbag and rushed out. She hailed a taxi as she didn't believe herself to drive properly at that moment. "VN Hospital, please.".

Diya almost fell; getting out of the taxi in a hurry. She ran to the reception and said a name. The receptionist told her a ward room number and showed her the way.
