Chapter 2 - Saiyan Brent

[Beep! rebooting power...Beep! Warning power level low switching to back up power. Beep! Power 19% Recommending supplying sufficient power source]

"Hmm, this is?"

Shawn whose now officially known as Brent couldn't help but be surprised when he heard the so familiar mechanical voice.

"Alice? How is it possible to still be with me even though I reincarnated? Bizarre extremely bizarre!"

Brent finding it somewhat hard to believe pondered for a while, "Alice! Complete a full body scan and search for any foreign objects!"

A second later, came Alice's cold mechanical voice with a subtle intelligence to it,

[Beep! Scan complete! No traces of foreign objects or entities were found in the host's body.]

"Strange, now that I think about it I clearly upgraded Alice's design to sound more of a British Women's accent. Moreover, the chip is not in my brain! Just how exactly is it functioning without a power source?"

"Alice! Scan and analyze the surroundings, if a possible search for possible power sources and the strongest lifeform. Then compute the data in the terms of the organisms here to make things simpler."

After that, he gathered his thoughts if the chip isn't in is physical body then the only place left would be it fused with his soul. Unlike other scientists, he wasn't crazy about it! He only made use of what he deemed necessary and useful, even then he still understood how big of an achievement this was. He was already familiar with the concept of the soul as he spent even more time as one than the time he spent living as a soul. With the assistance of the A.I. chip he now had an additional resource in this strange and mystical world.

On his usual indifferent and calm face formed the shadow of a brilliant smile. Unlike others would like to think of him he wasn't a psychotic psychopath without emotions, his training allowed him to keep his calm and stop those emotions from hindered his growth or survival. His pursuit of strength made him unconsciously stick to his training, even more, he believed it was the right mindset he needed to achieve unscientifically proven strength. As years of experience has proven to him he was correct he now, however, now wouldn't have to stress as much now so he couldn't help being happy in fact he was exhilarated! His training and discipline just wouldn't allow him to show that.

[Beep! Scanning complete displaying the strongest lifeform data!]

Beep!

Name: Unknown

Battle Power: 10,000

"This battle power what stats are they converted from? Is it just the total about of ki? Alice!" After the mechanical voice

[Beep! Not enough data stored to process information.]

"I see, Alice! What of the energy sources I'm sure there's plenty."

[Beep! No energy sources detected! Alice recommends absorbing Ki for sufficient energy source.]

Brent was slightly surprised, it seems the A.I. Chip of Alice also benefited from that space. In the past, he also did research to see if it was possible to make equipment and tools that run on ki and not electronic energy. It would be more convenient during his training, this however never seemed to be possible it would seem he would have to do some more research in this area.

For the next month or so, Brent trained his ki in the infants training cabin, little by little he grew healthy and strong. Afraid he would harm his physique or alert others he just worked on training hi ki sense and the little ki he was born with.

A month later his battle power improved from 3 to 100 not trying to alarm others though he suppressed it. Over the month of sorting through his memories due to his powerful soul, he remembers everything about the series. Thus he now knows what it is he needs to do next.

While training in the training cabin he's had, Alice run various calculations according to the information in his mind. From that, he compared the ki inside the bodies of the Saiyans and made a huge discovery. It seems the ki obtained from training the body to produce it has a flaw. That flaw being the ki of life doesn't get strengthened, which would also explain how someone can get so strong with such a short lifespan.

The ki of life is something all organisms are born with, at the moment of birth it determines the length of how much an individual will live. For example, a plants ki of life wouldn't outlive a tree, a rock, or a human. Reason being it doesn't have much ki of life inside of its being, so obtaining ki through a means of physical training will only strengthen the body. The two ki's basically never interacted with each other.

This would also explain his constant bottlenecks and limitations in his past life. He devoured the ki of the world and strengthened himself significantly but this type of training obviously has its limitations as well. With his human body from his preexistence no matter how hard he trained physically he gained no ki whatsoever from doing so. So this means even if he continued on his path instead of self-destruction he would have blown up internally. This caused a cold sweat to drip off his back.

"Truly a blessing in disguise, it would seem those ancient Chinese myths were true indeed. Yin and Yang, Lone Yin does not birth, Solidary Yang does not allow growth!"

He started lamenting the fact that he did not study more tai-chi.

Knowing that he was determined to be a low-level warrior he was preparing for his shipping to space so he could leave this godforsaken planet. He had no intention of saving anyone for now at least as he was too weak and wasn't foolish enough to risk his life for strangers.

During this past month, Brent also got to meet his parents. It was strange for an orphan like him to suddenly have a family. Not like the novels made it out to be though, unlike those fictional characters he was extremely calm, especially after seeing that look his parents gave him their "child". His mother had a look of dissatisfaction, while his father had a look of disappointment, not a shred of love.

"Truly a brutal race, well not like that's a bad thing for me. I doubt I would be able to endure the humiliation."

Sending off his "parents" with his eyes he saw what seemed to be the rear view of someone familiar focusing closely he could tell that it was Gine. Gine looked extremely young, definitely not over twenty. Accompanying Gine were a group of other young Saiyans. They seemed to have come to relay a message to those guards.

Gine is still extremely young, meaning he still had plenty of time before Frieza destroys the planet. He calculated there to be at least 12 or more years, more than enough for him to gain sufficient power to depart the planet Vegeta and start to develop himself.

In fact, he was sure in roughly 1 to 3 years he will be sent away for his mission.

"Heh, twelve years? That's more than enough time for me to strengthen myself! Frieza will I even need to fear him? If possible I'd like to experiment on him, his ability to survive in space is extremely useful to me." Brent's immature eyes kept flashing with an intelligent light

"Sigh...again its strength if I had the strength so I wouldn't need to hole up in this training cabin, feeling a constant sense of urgency or weakness!"

Thinking up to here he decided,

"After three years I will travel to Earth and learn the martial arts there. It's a must to my future that I add the "Yang" to my training lest I waste all of this potential I've lucked upon" Thinking up to here Brent gradually went to sleep.
