Two men walked in together, holding in their hands a little boy's White Crane; they looked to the man on the left, who was in fact the male homeowner, while the shorter man was a friend.
The male homeowner, discovering strangers in his own home, was just about to ask who these people were when he heard his wife's sobbing. His complexion changed, and he rushed toward the room inside, but then suddenly stopped outside the door without entering.
"Mr. Will!" he said happily, his voice filled with respect, "God, it's been such a long time… Why do I smell the scent of blood?"
The homeowner stepped into the room lit only by a small table lamp, where he saw his child, Abei, lying on the bed, pale and motionless. He could not finish his sentence as the air grew deathly silent.
Minutes later, the homeowner exploded, "Didn't you say you'd protect him well? What happened to protecting him well? Ah! Why, why is my child gone! Why!"
