Outside the barrier of the Immortal Island, the Azure Emperor's expression darkened upon hearing the words from within. He stood there with his hands behind his back, waiting.
Hao'er and Muchen had slept in a bit later than usual today, but by now they were already washed and dressed. They planned to do some calisthenics before exploring the surroundings. As they prepared to practice their skills in the courtyard, Mi'er came rushing in.
"Oh? You two awake? Perfect timing! Quick, come with me." Mi'er hurried forward, speaking rapidly.
The two exchanged glances and asked, "What's going on?"
"A man arrived outside claiming to be the Azure Emperor. Our Master is currently in seclusion, and I've never seen the Azure Emperor either. So I came to ask you to go identify if that person is truly the Azure Emperor, lest we let our Master's enemy in."
