The other hesitated, saying nothing, though his face betrayed his reluctance.

Hearing this, the hesitant and resentful youth chimed in, "Exactly! It's not the final moment yet! If things get truly desperate, we can shatter it then. I refuse to break it now. Besides, I want to bring my mother a gift from here!"
