Boundless magic surged around, transformed by the spell mould into brilliant light and heat. Every inch of blood vessels and nerves within him turned into a heated source during this process, as if scorching magma was flowing between his organs and flesh. Clement felt as if he had ignited. Everything in his view twisted and deformed in the high heat, becoming some kind of bizarre, white-hot illusion, which reminded him of the magic conduits he had observed in the magic laboratory before they burned...
