Her torso had largely fallen to its way, with only her heart and part of her lungs still remaining in pristine condition.
Her head also remained her own. As the center of her mind and will, she was better able to resist the advance of darkness.
Helping to resist the encroaching darkness was her companion spirit, yet this addition only delayed the encroaching tide.
How long could she fend off the invasion?
She had already lost a lot of strength. Her willpower continued to deflate while her resolve weakened with every passing second.
Her fighting spirit grew dull while the fire in her heart threatened to snuff out entirely.
