Between The Screens

Ironic_Vale
He can’t remember how he got there. The only thing he can feel is that something is wrong. As the days repeat, the rooms never change, and no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t leave. At first, he tells himself it’s nothing, that maybe it’s a glitch or a dream, maybe it’s something that he can’t control. Until he feels it. It’s the unmistakable sensation of being watched, being seen, like he has no privacy, But what was it? Almost like he was being watched. A year passes, and a second-hand game is plugged back in. Curiosity turns into unease when the player realises that there is a save file. Strangely, the character inside isn’t following commands. He is different. He is reacting, watching... waiting. Now what started as a fascination is slowly turning into something darker, maybe something neither of them understands. The longer the game runs and the more time he puts into this mysterious character, the thinner the glass that separates them becomes, as if their worlds are gradually colliding. Maybe Some things just were never meant to cross over.
