The Bloodbath

Aldenians
In the violent borderlands of the United States during the era of westward expansion, between 1849 and 1890, a feared assassin named Jones Morcant, known as Jonesy the Kid, wanders a dying frontier stained by his own sins. For years he lived as a gun for hire, leaving a trail of corpses across cattle towns, mining camps, and lawless territories where justice rarely existed. At the age of thirty eight, the weight of countless killings begins to devour his conscience, turning every memory into a haunting echo of blood and regret. Rumors spread among wandering priests, outlaws, and desert prophets about a mythical place called Himmelsturm, a palace believed to stand at the very center of creation. It is said that within this sacred place dwells Marya, the highest consciousness and creator of the universe. Those who reach Himmelsturm and stand before the divine presence may beg for forgiveness and cleanse their soul of even the greatest sins. However, the path to Himmelsturm lies beyond the known world. It requires crossing Mount Teorann, the colossal mountain wall that separates the human world from the Darkest Land, a vast and nightmarish continent surrounding reality itself. Within this forbidden region exist ancient horrors, cursed realms, and monstrous kingdoms where survival is almost impossible. Among these terrors is Baalthothep, an ancient demon king and primordial ruler of hell who commands ninety six legions. Possessing three monstrous heads, human, miacis, and beelzebufo, he wields reality bending power and ancient intelligence beyond human comprehension. Baalthothep seeks to bring about the collapse of the world and reshape existence under his dominion. As Jones Morcant journeys deeper into the Darkest Land, he must face cursed territories such as Jammertal, the valley of ultimate torment, Tuiteam, a chaotic abyss filled with grotesque entities, and Bitterkalt, a frozen wasteland where cold can strip flesh from bone. His path also leads toward Eden, the sacred garden where Himmelsturm stands at the center of all existence. While crossing a world ruled by the opposing spiritual forces of Lebensbaum, the tree of holy life, and Todesbaum, the tree of death and corruption, Jones begins to question whether redemption is truly possible for someone whose hands are drenched in blood. The journey becomes more than a search for forgiveness. It becomes a struggle between divine order and ancient chaos, between the destruction sought by Baalthothep and the faint hope of salvation carried by a single broken cowboy. If Jones Morcant reaches Himmelsturm, he may obtain absolution for his sins. If he fails, the Darkest Land may consume him, and the world itself may fall into the hands of an ancient king who once ruled before humanity ever existed.
