Abandoned Hero: Conquering S-Class Dungeons to Become the Strongest
When David is summoned to another world to become a hero, he is quickly branded the weakest candidate, with a seemingly useless skill called Absorption that does nothing. Humiliated and kicked out of the Institute of Magic and Training, he hires high-level adventurers to guide him, but he is immediately duped and thrown through a portal into the lowest level of a cursed dungeon—an S-Class labyrinth containing monsters and creatures from the deepest parts of hell.
Left to struggle and fend for himself, he soon discovers his Absorption skill isn't as useless as he thought. He can steal and copy the powers of any monster he bites, gaining abilities like brief indestructibility, fire breath, ice touch, super speed, super jump, and more. But each power is temporary and comes with a three-minute cooldown, forcing him to strategize every battle.
After fighting his way out, David returns to the surface with one goal: revenge. He hunts down those who wronged him, collects the gold he's owed, and forces his way back into the academy to prove what a "worthless" hero can do. But the dungeons aren't finished with him—and he isn't finished with them. Between settling scores, he descends into new S-class dungeons again and again to farm abilities, growing stronger for the coming apocalypse that threatens the kingdom.
Along the way, he gathers companions he finds within those dungeons—including a red-haired witch with powerful forbidden magic who doesn't trust him, and a stoic princess from a tribe of humanoid creatures who accidentally becomes his wife. Now David must balance two lives: the one on the surface seeking justice, and the one in the depths with his new family.
