THE WINTER DUKE: ASH AND OATHS

Shinji707
Winter rules the North, and the North answers to a duke with a reputation the rest of the realm can’t quite explain. Aelric Ashmont governs a land of frozen seas, iron mines, and long memory. His people endure through hard law and harder discipline: education is mandatory, councils have teeth, and the Covenant of Oaths turns promises into consequences. In the North, mercy is not softness. It is policy—enforced, argued over, and paid for in blood and grain. As winter deepens, the cracks that form aren’t natural. Trade numbers stop matching. Ports whisper of missing cargo and altered manifests. Along the border, monsters move wrong—too coordinated, too purposeful, as if something is pushing them toward human roads. South of the snowline, an Empire watches and grows hungry. To rule the North is not to command it blindly. Every decision leaves ash. Every vow has a cost. And when pressure finally comes for the Winter Duke, he will have to decide what kind of victory he is willing to refuse—before winter, war, and old things in the dark force the truth into the open. Because winter does not care who wins. It only remembers what was done to survive.

A Stark new Rob rewritten & continued!

A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones belong to George R. R. Martin. I'm simply writing a fan story set in his world after what was season 5- what they are calling an ending. Welcome! This story was inspired by the many amazing authors who have expanded upon or created wonderful worlds I love, especially A Song of Ice and Fire. While I admire Martin's incredible world-building, I wanted to explore a different direction. This is an original character (OC) as Robb Stark story. In this timeline, Robb dies in a stable accident early on, but he is replaced by a reincarnated fan and veteran, a history professor who possesses knowledge of the world and its future. This is not a tech-uplift fic—expect modest improvements in tactics, engineering, logistics, and sanitation, but no guns, trains, or miracle medicines. The Old Gods and some others, as well as magic, play a bit more in this story, but not in a way of high fantasy The story follows a capable Robb who knows what is coming and intends to change history. Don’t expect the White Walkers to be the final threat, and if all goes according to plan, this story will exceed 300,000 words. I also take a different approach to Westerosi politics. Some events and alliances in the canon never made much sense to me, so this story explores how things might unfold with a more experienced Robb making different decisions—including preparing for dragons. Thank you for giving my fanfic story a glance. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Attack On Titan: Industrial Revolution

Chapter 0 – Synopsis Reborn after death, Gale awakens in the world of the Titans. At first, convinced that he is completely without any help, he soon discovers an impossible ability: in his dreams, he can connect with real historical figures, minds that changed the course of humanity through knowledge, science, and destruction. On a dreamlike night, he meets Roger Bacon, the medieval philosopher who documented gunpowder and helped introduce its knowledge to Europe. Then appear Albertus Magnus, Leonardo da Vinci, James Watt, Alfred Nobel… and finally, the man who marked the limit of modern science: J. Robert Oppenheimer. That very day, a bold idea ignites in Gale’s mind. If he can learn directly from those who transformed war and industry… could he save Paradis Island without resorting to the Rumbling? “Decided! I will overthrow the Central Government and change the island’s destiny with science and steel!” “The Rumbling cannot save Paradis Island or the Eldians! Only industrial development can do that!” “Eren! The world is no longer decided by giants… it is decided by technology!” Guided by the knowledge transmitted through dreams, from medieval gunpowder that changed European battlefields, through the Industrial Revolution, to the principles of nuclear energy, Gale drives Paradis Island toward a transformation that no nation in the world could have imagined. No one expected that when Zeke, the Beast Titan, arrived at Paradis Island, he would be greeted by skies dominated by airplanes, fields defended by tanks, and cannons aimed not at the past… but at a future where they would be safe. ...
