Or so many believed, yet even after the Eastern Continental Crisis, where the continent fought together against one in twelve years of conflict, something continues to stir underneath the ashes.
Three years after the fall of Ganzir, followed shortly by the detonation of Babel, the Eastern Continent breathes through the smoke of its own victory, blinded by the flags they fly.
The Decade War ended with crumbling cheers, the Afterwar with silenced dissatisfaction. Beneath the façade of words and beliefs, whispers spread of machines that still guard their dead city and of voices speaking through the static; assimilated, revitalised, corrupted.
When a brief power blackout ripples along the Varkos Coalition’s eastern sectors, the whispers seemed to have spoke true.
