Paradoxical Encore (Draft 1)

The White door opens — Memories of the past haunt the future. Marcen Loristu had many titles. However, one stood out the most: The Contradiction. His entire life was just a story to beings that could be explained as ‘Gods,’ and he hated it. These beings forced an old acquaintance of Marcen—, Time—, to rewind just so that he would live his entire story over, and over, and over again, just for their pleasure. On a cycle like the previous billions before, he found an escape. He would destroy an artifact that kept the words flowing, his nightmare running, the world breathing: The Console System. It was alive, resting at the edge of everything, the place where nothing except literal concepts could reach, yet he was able to enter. His greatest friend, “The Order,” who had been living through the same endless loop in a different story, a different ‘Universe,’ betrayed him before he could realise his goal when he was so close. Rebooting the system and commanding it to do a reset that would purge everything, a Factory Reset. The command broke the system itself and caused “Glitches” to arise, and “Corruptions” in the story. Now stranded in a broken multiverse, Marcen must regain his memories, save what little he can, and stop this rotting corpse of a world from being destroyed. And all the while, the Console System continuously flickered with a faint blue light. A light that shone brightly against its endless, expansive screen that covered the very border of the multiverse. Its ancient surface, that once held countless, continuing code and notifications, held naught except for one message left for a contradiction to read. — 「A Paradox has formed…」 — 《WHAT TO EXPECT》 ~ 1k minimum word count per chapter. ~ Creative settings, characters, and… author? ~ Living systems. ~ Mysterious villains. ~ MC fighting against the clock!
