The Culling of Magic
Al had always been the odd one out. The kid that others picked on and many more looked to put blame on. All these years of loneliness caused by the simple fact that he was an elf. That anger with others turned into anger with himself for what he is.
Since the time he started being able to read he had an admiration towards magic. If any of it were still left in the world, he’d finally be normal. He’d finally be able to enjoy his life. Only it was just a fantasy. Magic would never return despite Al’s prayers.
Eventually he gave up on the idea and learned to accept his position in the world. The kids at school would still bully him, and his family would continue to believe everything was fine. “It was better this way he thought”
Al and his family decided to take some time for themselves and go on a nice vacation to the beach. Little did any of them know, it would be the day Al’s prayers were finally answered.
The world will return to its magical state, for better or worse.
