Almost none of her scales remained intact—fresh marks left by the recent battle. Around her lay many other hatchlings of different colors. Like her, they were all battered and battle-worn. “You little white chubby—couldn’t you at least let me finish looking cool?” White Chubby tilted her head slightly. She didn’t quite understand what Kaos meant by “finish looking cool.” Her round little dragon head drooped down. She placed her plump claws on her round belly and rubbed it. She was hungry. She wanted to hurry up and eat some meat. “Hum-da, hum-da~” The white hatchling lifted her head and called out to Kaos again. This time, her cries carried a faint note of grievance.
