Dance Of The Elite
Tatenashi Fujiro promised his sister he would be there.
He was five minutes away when the world disappeared.
Born as Shin Nobohide beneath an unfamiliar sky, he finds himself surrounded by a family who loves him—and haunted by memories of people he cannot reach. As those memories begin to fade, one feeling remains: someone is still waiting for him.
In this world, the roots of the First Tree carry life force across continents. Those born able to wield it command fire, shape stone, and inherit the privileges of the Elite. Those without that gift live beneath laws written by powerful bloodlines.
Shin grows up in the shadow of his father’s legendary reputation, determined to earn a strength of his own. But the power stirring inside him refuses to follow the rules of inheritance. Understanding it will demand patient study, painful failures, and teachers willing to trust him with more than their techniques.
There is much here worth loving. A home filled with laughter. Friendships forged through training and trouble. Distant cities built among living roots, and places he cannot yet imagine.
There is also the Fallen, gathering beyond the places people call safe.
As their attacks intensify, Shin and his friends are drawn into a struggle where noble families decide whose children must fight, whose losses deserve mourning, and which truths can be spoken aloud. The strength he once wanted for himself becomes something others depend upon.
Yet fragments of his first life keep returning.
And each brings him closer to a question this world has no answer for:
What happened to Tatenashi Fujiro?
