As he pushed through the dense foliage outside of the route, the branches scraped against his bare skin, but he paid them no mind. Though his ankle occasionally twinged with discomfort, it was of little consequence to him at the moment. His singular focus was on finding Jinju, and everything else paled in comparison.
"Please, just show yourself already! Where are you?!"
Unaware that he was also getting lost further and deeper, he recklessly continued his search for her. But no matter how far he went or how loudly he called her out, he couldn’t see or hear her. With each passing step, he felt his regret and remorse about the past consuming and binding him tightly.
"No matter what you do, I'll always be the daughter of that woman. You'll probably think of my mom whenever you see me, Mr. Kang. And you'll only feel miserable again."
"I don't care. I only love you, Jinju, regardless of anything or anyone."
