Sunlight poured through the window as morning came. I awoke to the sight of Aina curled up against my chest, sleeping peacefully.
"Aina, we need to get up. We have to go to that human school as much as I loathe being there. Mom did not raise quitters."
"Mmrrrm"
*Yaawwwn*
"Morning, Nae~."
She smiled sweetly. She was radiant.
"We need to get up. I have to explain the situation to my new Rook. You mind dealing with Runeas and Big sis? I doubt any of them went home."
*sigh*
She slowly got up and cast a spell to clean us and the room. While mumbling about how annoying it is.
"I know I don't like it either, but Mom would call us cowards if we quit."
*sigh*
"I know. See you later, Nae."
She teleported back to her room. The realizations of what we had done last night sank in. I felt a wry grin force its way onto my face.
"Well, it was only a matter of time. I'm glad she and Roy already talked about this a while ago. Ughhh, moms going to start pestering about grandchildren now, isn't she? She doesn't care that our race, like many supernatural ones, has low fertility."
She's going to be difficult. I then had a sudden, terrifying thought of my Mom, Runeas, and Big Sis Kalana all in the same room. Welp, rest in peace, Zekram's sanity.
"That's enough of those thoughts, better go find my new Rook."
I teleported to my Rook's room and knocked on the door.
"Ahh!"
A startled noise came from the door.
"I'm coming in a moment to explain what going on make yourself decent."
"Ah, y-yes!"
Knowing Aina, she probably grabbed this girl some toiletries before our union last night. I waited about 5 minutes before knocking again.
"Are you decent?"
"Y-yes!"
I opened the door. She was sitting on the bed. She was wearing a sleeveless, red, sweater and a long glove of the same color. She was also wearing some sort of black skirt, with a belt loosely around her waist and some black combat boots. I noticed her strange shadow arm from earlier wasn't there.
"Now, my name is Nae Flauros. I will explain more eventually, but first. What is your name."
She was startled and clearly nervous. I would be too if was dying in a field armless in Britain and suddenly in Japan.
"M-my name is Seras, Seras Victoria."
"Good, how much do you remember from last night? You seem to be a police woman."
"Yes, I am. We got a report about a disturbance there was this priest and the undead. I think the priest said he was a vampire. I tried to run but the priest grabbed me and started monologuing. I was in pain so I couldn't focus on what he was saying. Then that man in red showed up he shot me in the shoulder I don't remember much after that. I hoped it was a dream but…"
She looked at her missing arm.
"I see… well to fill in the blanks for you. The man you saw that night is a customer of mine. His name is Alucard, but you may know him better as Dracula. That is the most popular name he's gone by."
She looked shocked considering she was saved from one vampire by another.
"Is-is he around?"
"No, he turned you something that he has only done twice before. Why he did so I can't say, but after he did he called me. In exchange for me taking you into my peerage he would go sort out his wayward descendants."
"Peerage sir? Are you a royal fo some sort? And why give me to you?"
"We will get to that, but he gave you to me because, and his own words, he couldn't be bothered to raise another vampire. He very irresponsible."
He didn't say that immediately, but I texted him while waiting for Seras. That was what he responded with. So I showed her the text just in case.
"I-I see."
She looked downcast. Probably felt fate was no longer in her hands. Accurate to some degree.
"A-are you a vampire too?"
I chuckled a little at that question
"Hahah, no I'm not a vampire. I'm a devil."
My wings appeared.
She was startled by theirs sudden appearance. I can see why some devils do this their reactions are priceless.
"Let me do a proper introduction of myself. My name is Nae Flauros, heir to the Flauros Ducal house of the 72 Demon Pillar Families. And you have been reincarnated as a Devil and become the rook of my peerage."
It looked like her brain crashed at that information. It looked like she would take while. I sent Aina a message to go on ahead, and tell Rias and Sitri I'll be late because of new peerage memeber. Rias and Sitri had already worked their magic to get Yomihana in. When she finally snapped back to reality I told her to brace herself as I then lore dumped the fact that gods, devils, fallen, and angels all of that is real. Her brain crashed again. I explained a little more. As well as telling her we were in Japan now and I'd get her a new identity.
"That's the introductory stuff taken care of."
"THATS THE INTRODUCTORY STUFFF!? Oh sorry."
Well she seems to be more comfortable with me now.
"No problem, while peerage is the term used, most devils treat them as an extension of their family or close friends. Only truly vile scum do otherwise."
"I see."
I noticed she now had a mass of demonic energy and shadows were her right arm was. She was a natural at energy control. She was scary strong too. She was easily High-mid class, probably due being turned before reincarnated. I noted sunlight wasn't making her sluggish like the other two clans either.
"So I have to go to school soon and your coming with me. I'll show you options for weapons when we come back."
"YOU GO TO SCHOOL!? AND WHY DO I HAVE TO GO?!"
"Unfortunately, yes, I'm only 17. You look, what 20?"
"Y-yes."
"Well because of Alucard and Devil genes your going to look like that's forever. And it's for the best if you come with me. You don't want to have to deal with three of the original pillar devils. Two of whom I am relate to. Plus your not going to class. Your just going to hangout ,probably with Kuroka whom is the cat youkai I told you about, in my cousin's club room. Also maybe Kruroka's little sister."
She just nodded her head. She seemed to be taking it better than most.
I snapped my fingers and we vanished. To appear in Rias's club room.
authors note: Yep vampire if your curious of her fit just google Seras Victoria she wore the same outfit in the original Hellsing anime at one point. So that just missing an arm. Ps Seras is his normal rook. Which means he has a mutation Rook (already have plans for) and a regular knight.
