It felt awkward. Like, really awkward. So awkward that I wanted to bite my toes off awkward.[1]
Ren still hasn't said a word.
I had to fight the urge to say he looked ethereal with the expression he has on right now.[2]
He resembled the oceans deepest seas, which made me want to drown myself into his mesmerizing beauty.
Why is he so pretty?
I mean, before he looked fine, but now he's fine.
I swear Ren is going to kill me one day.

"Kevin, we should probably go now."
Finally.
We both stood up and I followed him to the arena.
I still don't know why we both just sat there doing nothing, it made me anxious.
We arrived at the dome and got ready for the Battle Royale. Everyone was anxious because this event was the last event and the event that would decide the winner between Lock and Theodora Academy.
Before we could enter, we had to go through security. They checked our bodies our dimensional storages and other carry ons.
I mostly packed the essentials, food, shelter, potions and whatever.
Finally done, I met up with Ren and Jin for the competition, as I looked at Ren up and down I asked him,
"Are you nervous?"
"Sort of."
He answered.
The plan was to split up right when the Battle Royale started, planning to stop them at the start. Jin probably would do the exact same thing without us asking him to anyway.
After half an hour, an examiner came by and explained the rules to us but immediately left right after.

Once the Battle Royale started, we would have 30 minutes to apprehend the trespassers, because student in that time were not allowed to attack each other.
!BEEP!
It was starting.
-RUMBLE-RUMBLE-
The metal overhang doors swing open to reveal a large dense forest environment.
"Let's go."
"Right."

All three of us splited up into different directions, it probably made the crowd think we weren't taking this seriously, but we had a different mission to do first.
After splitting up with Ren and Jin, I sent Ren the coordinates of the other portal through my watch.
He wouldn't find it right away since he didn't have the system, but it was better than nothing.
Looking at the map the system provided me, I quickly passed through brushes of bushes and tall trees in the way of my path to the perpetrators.
I called Ren on the way just in case though.
(BRRRRR)
It rang softly as it reached through to him, I asked
"Ren, how far are you away from the location?"
I heard him softly whisper,
"I'm almost there."
…I can't believe that gave me butterflies, he's just whispering in my ear.
Through a watch…
I'm so weird.
Sighing to myself, I replied to him
"That's good, I'm almost there too."
I thought I heard him say something but I couldn't hear it.
Just then I noticed something.
"Ren, I'm hanging up. I think I've got something."
After hanging up with Ren, I saw four individuals ahead. All around E to F rank.
That's strange, their from a lower academy. With their talent they could go to Lock with no issues, but they were from a lowered end academy.
Although I am D rank, even I would have a bit of an issue handling them.
I should call Ren again to get his viewpoint on the situation.
(BRRRRR)
"Yes?"
"Are you ready?"
"Yeah, I've found the portal and targets."
After explaining my situation to him it was his turn.
"Damn, well looks like I have the short end of the stick. I've got five targets."
Well I guess I don't care about him as much as I thought I did because I immediately started to mock him.
"Hee… sucks to be you."
"…Are you seriously mocking me right now?"
I slowly replied in a whisper,
"…no"
Looking at the blue screen in front of me I told him the location of the portal.
"Anyways, the portal should be in between all the five individuals, buried in the ground. Your welcome."
Quickly hanging up, I observed the four individuals and decided to prepare for an ambush.
After waiting a few minutes, my watch turned red and buzzed.
!vrrr!vrrr!
This signaled when student could begin fighting each other so I quickly set off to the nearest individual and attacked them.
