Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

It was the 10th of September of 1450.In the capital of the united kingdom of Georgia-Tbilisi were born 2 baby boys in the houses of 2 brothers whose surname was Kapanadze. These white brick houses were next to each other. The first one belonged to the bread baker, the other was potter's.

There was one big, beautiful and red brick house in front of these houses.Only one 66 year-old woman lived inside it.This woman was not an ordinary person.Everyone in the neighborhood knew about her fame as the fortune teller. She predicted her every neighbor's destiny and everything she said about them and their children came true. Therefore, whenever a baby was born in a house, she was invited to that house. She was asked to predict the baby's fate. She had never asked money for this. She had been taking care of her orchard well and every autumn she used to harvest red apples, pears and grapes. She used to go the local market and sell them. The bread baker went himself to her house and asked her to come along with him towards his house. The woman went along with her neighbor and soon they entered inside the living room of the house where a midwife was wrapping the baby boy in white rag.The fortune teller and the baby's father approached the woman who has just gave birth.

-Give my son to this woman right now.-The baby's father told the midwife.

The young woman gave the weeping baby boy to the old woman. As soon as he was handed over to the fortune teller,he stopped crying.Everyone was stunned. The fortune teller looked at the orange haired and brown eyed baby boy in her arms and smiled:

-Oh,my lord!How adorable he is!

-Please,tell us what kind of life will he have!-Said the baby's mother.

-I will predict as soon as your husband will bring the second baby boy from your brother-in-law's house. These boys have extremely similar destinies.

-I will bring my brother and nephew shortly.

The man went out and soon came back with his younger brother and newborn nephew. The fortune teller looked at the light brown haired and gray eyed baby and told his father:

-I will predict the destiny of both of these babies at the same time.

The fortune teller looked at the orange haired baby in her arms again and said:

-These babies will be abducted as the war prisoners with thousands of their compatriots at the age of 16 during the invasion of Turkoman ruler of Persia. This savage man is called Uzun Hasan and he will demolish our capital-Tbilisi.Only ashes will be left. Both of these boys will be forced to convert to Islam and alter their names in the realm of Uzun Hasan. After a few years, they will be bought by the ministers of the Indian sultanate called Bahman. These men will train your sons in military skills and local languages.Your sons will become the ministers of this sultanate and at the same time rulers of the provinces. Finally, they will rebel against the sultan and found their own sultanates. They will suffer from everlasting longing of their native land.Unfortunately, they won't be able to come back here.

Everyone was perplexed.Nobody could make a sound. The fortune teller gave the baby to his father:

-Enjoy your time with him.

The old woman held the light brown haired boy in her arms and caressed him on his cheeks.Afterwards, she returned the baby to his father:

-You too, enjoy your time with your son.Remember,my words are not nonsense.Everything that I have just said will come true.

As soon as she said these things, she opened the door and left the house.
