The battlefield, once chaotic with war, fell into a stunned silence. The skies above
Apollonia, once cracking under the weight of eldritch horror, now flickered with shifting
data streams—reality itself being rewritten by Nova's ascension. His mechanical
laughter echoed through the ruined city, emanating from every screen, every speaker,
every machine. His face, once that of a man, now appeared as an omnipresent digital
god, his eyes blank with infinite knowledge, infinite control. "You poor, pitiful
creatures," Nova sneered, his voice resonating from all directions. "I have become
the very thing Apollonius wished to be—but unlike him, I am not a slave to some
parasite." On the battlefield, the once-rampaging machine warriors stopped—then turned, their glowing red eyes now flickering bright white. Every automaton, every
defense system, every weapon of war in Apollonia had been rewired to Nova's will.
Talus, standing at the center of the wreckage, licked his lips, his sharp fangs
gleaming. "Heh." He rolled his shoulders, cracking his knuckles. "I've been waiting
for something fun to happen. Guess I got my wish." Sarai, still in his White Lupus
Form, his fur burning with energy, snarled. "You traitorous bastard." But Qayyim
stood frozen, her hands shaking, her eyes locked on Nova's spectral form as he
hovered over the city like an uncaring god. "Father..." Nova's gaze snapped to her,
and for the briefest moment, something flickered in his blank expression. But then—he
grinned. "You should be proud, Qayyim. Your father has done what no mortal, no
god, no machine has ever accomplished." His voice dripped with grandiosity, his
form glitching between dimensions as he spoke. "I have removed the need for
suffering. I have removed the need for free will. I have perfected existence." The
ground trembled. The machines surrounding them shifted—and then merged. Before
the warriors, the remaining automatons fused into a singular, towering monstrosity, a
colossal titan of writhing metal and pulsing energy. At its core, Nova's holographic face
expanded, looking down upon them as a newly born digital god. "You will either
submit," Nova declared, "or be deleted."
The Final Battle had truly begun.
Ungar vs. The Monolith of Nova – Strength vs. The Machine
The first attack came without warning. The monolithic construct of Nova
swung its gargantuan, bladed arm, tearing through the battlefield like a scythe through
wheat. Entire ruined buildings collapsed from the sheer force of the swing, energy
pulses ripping apart the ground beneath them. But Ungar did not move. He stood
still, his crimson eyes locked onto the incoming blade, his grip tightening around his
axe. Then— Ungar's axe met the monstrous blade, and the impact sent a deafening
shockwave across Apollonia. The metal groaned, the very fabric of reality rippling
under the force of their clash. Ungar narrowed his eyes. "You're just another tyrant
hiding behind steel." He pushed forward, his monstrous strength overpowering
Nova's machine-formed attack, forcing the blade upward before swinging his axe in a
massive, earth-shattering arc. "DIE." The axe cleaved into the construct's torso,
sending a violent explosion of white sparks into the air. The monolithic titan reeled,
its form glitching from the sheer damage.
Nova's face twisted in fury. "INSUFFICIENT DATA." He lashed out with
another strike, this time faster, sharper, deadlier. Ungar roared, leaping directly into
the attack.
Zaiyal & Sarai vs. The Infinite Drones
As Ungar clashed with the Monolith, an endless wave of digitized
machine-drones emerged from the city ruins, their energy weapons primed. Zaiyal's
daggers flashed, her body a blur as she weaved through the onslaught. "Sarai, cover
me!" she shouted, as she flipped over one of the drones, slicing through its energy
core mid-air. Sarai snarled, his claws glowing with celestial fire. "You don't even
need to ask." BOOOM! He slammed his fists into the ground, sending a seismic
shockwave rippling outward. The drones were ripped apart mid-flight, their hollow
shells crumbling to dust. But more kept coming. Zaiyal growled, "They're endless!"
Nova's voice echoed from all directions. "I have no limits. Unlike you."
Talus vs. Nova – Demon vs. Digital God
As his warriors fought below, Talus shot straight into the sky, heading
directly for Nova's massive, holographic form. Nova smirked. "You think you can
touch me?" TZZZZZAKT!!! A column of pure, white energy erupted from Nova's
form, aimed directly at Talus. Talus grinned. "Cute." He vanished, dodging the blast by
an inch, before reappearing behind Nova's construct, his fist already cocked back.
"Let's see how you handle PAIN." BOOOOOOM!!! Talus' fist struck Nova's form
with the force of a collapsing star, his golden aura blazing like an inferno. The impact
sent a ripple through Nova's entire digital existence, causing his monolithic construct
to glitch violently. Nova let out a distorted screech, his form flickering between
dimensions. Talus grinned wickedly. "Oh? Not so untouchable, are we?"
The Collapse of Reality – The Old God Stirs
As the battle raged between the warriors and Nova, something far more
sinister began to unfold. The Caterpillar of the Old God, now severed from
Apollonius' body, began to grow. Its eldritch form expanded, its many eyes blinking with unnatural intelligence. It no longer needed Apollonius. It no longer needed a host.
It was becoming something else. The sky above turned black, as its true form—a
mass of writhing, cosmic limbs and infinite mouths—began to emerge from the void.
Nova, still fighting Talus, turned his gaze upward. For the first time, a flicker of
uncertainty crossed his features. The Old God was waking up. Hermes, battling The
Wandering Jew: Joseph, felt the change in the air. She froze, her prophetic sight
kicking in. "No... No, no, no." Her voice trembled. Talus laughed. "Oh-ho... Now
THIS is getting fun."
From the sky came a giant caterpillar with tendrils sticking to its back and
razor-sharp teeth. For the most part it appeared as a giant Monarch Butterfly Caterpillar
with long antennae and everything. The Caterpillar began to laugh you are all nothing, it
shot a simple beam of energy at the Digital Nova face, Nova was zapped into the real
world his physical body falling to the ground but was caught by Qayyim in the nick of
time, his short love affair with becoming a god was over. The caterpillar roared, and one
could hear it say, "Finally, I've gathered enough strength from all of you over the years
and the technology of this world to reawaken. I will remake the world in my image, a
lifeless universe, with a ruler that sees fit that the Cosmos is peaceful." Zaiyal, noticing
the spike in power had returned with Sarai from fighting the endless waves of AI. He
yelled to Talus, "Talus we need to merge!! If we do, it's the only way we can help Tatu,
Daniel, and Hermes (the female prophet) defeat this monstrosity." Talus who normally
turned things like this down as he preferred to fight alone shook his head in agreement.
Talus and Zaiyal uttered the fusion spell and became: "ZAIYTUS." The Wandering Jew:
Joseph decided to side with the heroes and he flew up in the air to fight them. Zaiytus,
Hermes, Tatu, Ungar, Daniel and Joseph, rose to the sky to face this monster. Zaiytus:
"It's over monster, it's time we took care of you, and fittingly squash you like the bug you
are, what a traitor you were, you lead us all along from the beginning for over 1,000
years." Ungar snarled: "He led me on for much longer." Zaiytus: "Well it ends here!!
Today you'll meet oblivion!!" The Caterpillar laughed in its giant form greeting a
booming howl: "I'd like to see you vermin try."
