Archangel Michael appeared before everyone, he said what everyone
knew he would say, "Lucifer is dead. It's all over. You've been burdened by this for
far too long so now it's time that we get you back to your world. At Least for those
who want to return. For those who want to stay in this world, meaning of course
the former empire as well, you're more than free too, so who will stay?"
Commander Kesh stepped forward, "I'll stay, this whole experience has made me
realize there are things more important than becoming the emperor, I need to make
sure whatever comes after this empire collapses is something worth preserving, so
I'll stay here," said Commander Kesh. Several others including Turil and Esther
who said, "I want to make sure we disposed elite warriors don't end up as mere
mercenaries; we need to play our part in securing the stability of our world," said
Esther. Omar said, "I must return to Thebes to secure our Khilafat. We must create
our world in the vision our holy Prophet imagined for us." Qadil nodded his head,
and Kavir said he would stay with the Qadarians and convert to their religion.
Lauren, Lobova and David decided to stay behind as well. When it was all said and
done, Zaiyal, Talus, Tashkent, Noah, Ungar, Sir Rhyme, Martreya Buddha
Narcis and Guan-Fu the Slug man decided to return to their old world. Zaiyal
was excited after what seemed like for so long he would finally see his wife and children again.
Esther and Turil hugged Noah and they all said their goodbyes. The
Archangel Michael created a portal and said, "enter this portal, and your woes will
truly be at an end." All eight of them walked through the portal and the portal
closed behind them.
Zaiyal, Ungar, Sir Rhyme, Narcis, and Guan-Fu were in shock.
"What's
wrong?" said Talus. "...This isn't...our world..." said Zaiyal. Talus in shock looked
around. They were in some futuristic city, there were flying cars and regular cars,
everything was spotless and clean. Where they were, it seemed extremely unclear.
Sir Rhyme, his poetic mind racing, began to scribble notes on a holographic pad.
"A place where the sky meets the ground, and technology sings without a sound.
What marvels lie in this neon haze? Are we lost in time, or trapped in a maze?"
Narcis adjusted his eyes, his eyes darting around. "It looks advanced—like
something out of a sci-fi novel. But how did we even get here? Last thing I
remember, we were—" "We were in the realm of the Angels!" Ungar interjected,
his voice a mix of panic and excitement. "Remember the portal? I thought it would
lead to our old world?" Guan-Fu, calm amidst the chaos, scanned the horizon.
"Legends often hold truths. Perhaps we've crossed into a different realm entirely.
We need to figure out how to return." Zaiyal took a deep breath, grounding herself.
"First, we should gather information. Let's find someone who can explain what's
going on. We can't stay here unprepared."
As they moved cautiously through the streets, the dazzling lights of the city flickered overhead, casting vibrant reflections
on the polished surfaces. They passed towering structures made of glass and metal,
each one more impressive than the last. Zaiyal asked a young man, "Excuse me,
what planet is this, is this Helios?" The man looked confused, "this world hasn't
been called Helios for a little over 1,000 years, it's called Verenthia, is this some
kind of joke?" Zaiyal began to stammer, "...no, its fine, we'll be on our way."
Everyone was shocked, "this is Helios, it's just everyone we know is dead now, I
guess we'll have to just adjust it, but the problem is, I don't know where we should
begin," said Zaiyal. Suddenly, a voice echoed from behind them. "You're not from
around here, are you?" They turned to see a figure approaching—an androgynous
person with striking silver hair and luminous skin, dressed in sleek, form-fitting
attire. "I can help you. But you need to be careful; not everyone here is friendly."
Talus exchanged glances with the others, then stepped forward. "Who are you?"
The figure smiled, a glimmer of playfulness in their eyes. "Call me Nova. And like
I said you folks don't look like you're from around here, I'm one of the resident
heroes so I think I can help you out."
