The Spider Guardian

Season:01

Chapter:04

[The Greatest Escape]

The evening sky was slowly turning orange when Haiyan stepped out of his Sir's house.

Haiyan often came there for lessons, and that day had been no different. After finishing their studies, Haiyan and Sir's son decided to take a short walk outside. The air was calm, and the streets were quiet.

At first, everything felt normal.

But within minutes, something strange caught Haiyan's attention.

Far across the water, near the distant shoreline where the mysterious merchant's headquarters stood, a powerful speedboat cut through the waves. Its engine roared loudly across the silent evening.

Standing on that boat—

was the merchant.

Haiyan immediately recognized him.

The same cold expression.

The same confident posture.

But this time, something was different.

Large metallic devices were being launched from the boat into the surrounding areas. They exploded in flashes of light and smoke, not like ordinary bombs but more like advanced explosive drones designed to destroy equipment and erase evidence.

The merchant wasn't just testing weapons.

He was clearing something.

Covering his tracks.

Sekandar Sir's son stared in shock.

"Wait… what is he doing?" he whispered.

Before Haiyan could answer, something else appeared in the sky.

A helicopter.

Its blades sliced through the air as it approached rapidly from the north. A searchlight suddenly switched on, scanning the ground like the eye of a predator hunting its prey.

Haiyan's heart froze.

For a moment, everything became clear.

The merchant had discovered something.

Maybe their investigation.

Maybe their presence.

Either way, the helicopter was heading directly toward them.

"He knows!" Sir's son said urgently.

There was no time to think.

Haiyan immediately ran toward the eastern side where thick bushes and trees covered the ground like a natural shield.

Sir's son ran in another direction, hoping to distract the helicopter.

The searchlight swept across the land behind them.

Haiyan pushed forward through branches and grass, his breathing becoming heavier with every step. The distant sound of the helicopter followed him like a shadow.

Minutes turned into what felt like hours.

He kept running.

Through fields.

Across narrow paths.

Into unfamiliar land.

Finally, after nearly an hour of running without stopping, Haiyan slowed down.

The helicopter sound had disappeared.

The night had fallen.

And the place around him was completely unfamiliar.

Tall trees surrounded the area, and small houses stood scattered across the land. It was a quiet settlement far away from the city.

Haiyan had unknowingly crossed into a completely new place.

At first, he felt lost.

But the people there were surprisingly kind.

Days passed. Then weeks.

Haiyan slowly began making friends in this new place. They were curious about him, about where he came from, and about the strange determination in his eyes.

Eventually, Haiyan started living among them.

Learning.

Observing.

Waiting.

Months turned into a year.

But even though life seemed peaceful on the surface, Haiyan never forgot the merchant.

The mysterious project.

The helicopter chase.

And the feeling that something much bigger was still unfolding somewhere beyond the horizon.

Haiyan knew one thing for certain.

One day, their paths would cross again.

And next time....
