[Watching The Shadow]
We tried everything to stop him.
I and my friends watched every move of the merchant, hoping to catch him doing something illegal. But without proof, there was nothing we could do. No matter how suspicious he seemed, the truth was always just out of our reach.
Days passed, and his mysterious project slowly began to rise from the ground.
At first it was just an empty construction site, but soon massive steel structures started appearing. Workers moved in silence, machines roared through the day and night, and security guards surrounded the entire area.
The building looked strange.
It wasn't exactly a headquarters, but it wasn't a normal building either.
It looked more like a huge futuristic hall made of glass and metal, shining under the city lights. Cameras were placed everywhere, and tall fences surrounded the place like a fortress.
Something about it didn't feel right.
We continued watching from a distance, trying to figure out what he was really building. Every day the structure grew bigger and more advanced, almost like something out of a sci-fi movie.
One night, we decided to get closer.
Carefully, we sneaked into the area to investigate. For a moment it felt like we were about to discover the truth.
But suddenly, his people noticed us.
Before we could react, several of the merchant's men surrounded us. My heart started racing. For a second, it felt like there was no way out.
Luckily, with the help of my friends, we managed to escape before they could catch us.
After that night, we became even more careful.
The project kept growing bigger and bigger, but without any solid proof, we still couldn't stop him.
But deep inside, I knew one thing for sure.
Whatever he was building inside that mysterious structure…
it was going to change everything.
And we had to uncover the truth before it was too late.
