"Mr Zawo , the preparations for the global address have been completed and all communication platforms are ready" said a young man in military uniform to the man who was typing something on a laptop.
"I understand" said the man in response.
The young soldier saluted and left the high tech room after delivering the message leaving the scientist Mr Zawo alone in the room.
Mr Zawo , a world renowned scientist and genius who elevated humanity technological and medical fields by decades , was now left alone in this room.
'Everything was going well in the past decades' thought Zawo Kumkani.
Zawo Kumkani , a young African genius who gained attention and popularity after his first groundbreaking discovery that changed the medical field.
After that he was endorsed and supported by countries and organizations all over the world because of his genius mind.
Zawo, gaining a platform to showcase his brilliance started using his brilliant mind to extensively study and research different fields of studies to better the African continent , as a starting point, making it a unified superpower then extending his reach towards the whole world, uniting Earth under the same rule in preparation for Earth entry into the interstellar age.
Zawo spent 30 years in the research lab , researching cures for diseases , advancing technology and building connections and networks with distinguished people and political figures all over the globe in preparation for when he bares his fangs.
Zawo projected an image of brilliant scientific mind that was harmless and does everything for the good of humanity.
But under that mask was a man with ambition , an ambition to swallow everything and make it submit to his rule.
After 30 years of lurking and building power, Zawo secretly had weapons that exceed Earths technology by decades.
Controlled nuclear fusion was already achieved and hidden by him , only used in his secret laboratories around the world.
His level of technology already exceed every standard of Earth, to prevent his plans and secrets from being discovered or leaked.
His subordinates , orphans or young and ambitious children in Africa and later all over the world, formed a tight network that lurks in every corner of the world, listening , documenting, and rising in ranks.
When Zawo was 50 and all pieces on his chessboard were in place , he barred his fangs and swallowed Africa in one go.
His network of spies and subordinates sprung into action and toppled political leaders or ascended to the positions in just 2 years .
After this change , Zawo started releasing his technologies to the whole African continent. Countries changed for the better as the advantage of advanced technology was steering African people forward.
It took another 10 years for Africa to reform, crime rates to drop to the lowest level, poverty to end , education and jobs to be available for anyone.
African countries were united and the continent was becoming independent.
After everything was in place , Africa declared a unified governmental body.
The change was shocking to outside forces but the changes did not affect African citizens because in the past few years Africans policies and laws between countries were similar and the lines between the borders of different countries were blurred because of the foundation of a unified rule that was already permeating the whole African continent before the Unified Government.
Some forces outside were happy as this might be better for the development and trade of resources between Africa and countries in other continents.
But some were not, because a unified Africa was a force to be reckoned with.
Zawo , now 62 years old , had broken through in his research in genetics and can rewrite and manipulate the genetic code of creatures.
He rewrote his genetic code and reversed his growth , returning to his youthful self.
After this success Zawo officially entered the political and economic stages of the African continent as the Supreme leader of the Unified African Countries and took charge , spear heading the further development of Africa.
Another ten years passed , with Africa development exceeding all countries in the world.
Africa was now no longer shouldered by one man's achievements but has produced geniuses and future leaders in the younger generation.
During this time , countries who were not happy with Africa's progress had tried to sabotage African operations but failed miserably and were harshly warned by Zawo through his networks, effectively scaring them and showcasing Zawo influence to all prominent figures of the world.
After this brief incident, all countries around the world knew to never offend Africa.
Zawo continued like this for another ten years , slowly eroding other countries with his influence and planting spies and subordinates in the spheres of power of countries around the world
His work paid off as his people one by one gained influence and prestige , taking over as leaders of nations , strengthening cooperation with Africa and advancing the technology of those countries.
After a majority of nations were under Zawo , he proposed the formation of the Unified Earth Government in the Assembly of nations.
Many country leaders supported his proposal as they were his own people , but some like the world's superpowers and some nations who were not under his complete control opposed and were reluctant to give up authority.
He tried convincing them and failed but settled for a union of Earth's nations.
Zawo knew this union was just temporary because it is just a matter of time until his people eventually take over these nations in the next few years. And this union is a way for Zawo to covertly intergrate the nations he already has control of under his rule. In time even if his people still haven't gained control of these nations the trend of unification will force them to submit.
Another ten years went by with the whole earth gradually falling under Zawo control
The Unified Earth Government was created and Zawo fully distributed his technology to humanity and fully commited his energy to the advancement of humanity.
Ten years went by and he gradually receded from the center of authority, distributing his power and returning to his pursuit of knowledge.
Two years passed and Zawo amid his research , was disturbed by an urgent alert from observatories, satellites and space exploration ships that monitor the solar system.
A small black hole was discovered to have spontaneously appeared next to the sun and was frantically absorbing the oxygen content of the sun.
Zawo hearing this quickly did calculations in his mind and discovered that humanity had no time for escape, as the sun would erupt any minute to a few hours
And the resulting solar radiation will destroy the earth and the whole solar system.
Despair, anger, and sadness flooded Zawo but he quickly reined in his emotions and decided to address the citizens of Earth.
"Citizens of Earth , I am Zawo Kumkani , the Chairman and Supreme Leader of the United Earth Government. I come barring grim news, the Earth and the whole solar system will be destroyed in a few hours. This news is true and today is the last day of humanity. Before everything ends and humanity is claimed by the forces of the universe let us put down work , make peace with family and spend the last moments of humanity with those we love and cherich. If you don't have anyone, look for the closest thing that you cherish or ties you to humanity. Hold on to it , and spend the last moments of your life in peace."
After Zawo was done with his speech, the citizens of Earth were panicked and uncertain about the news, but broadcasts showing the situation on the sun started appearing everywhere to reinforce the idea that what was broadcasted is true.
Citizens of Earth , seeing the seriousness of the situation followed Zawo advice and reunited with family.
Some went to spiritual sanctuaries like churches and temples to pray while others watched the sun in day timezones or stars in night timezones.
Time continued to flow and hours passed as humanity held on to hope that a miracle could happen.
However the miracle never came.
The sun material was rapidly siphoned by the black hole, the sun was torn apart violently, by immense tidal forces , creating a massive , glowing disc of gas , dust and radiation that sweeped everything in its way .
Mercury was first to be destroyed , followed by Venus and Earth's turn had come
19 February 2084 was the day humanity , the Earth , the solar system and much more was destroyed.
Zawo last memory was a wave of energy that disintegrated his body .
however in that moment Zawo felt a squeeze , a compresion, decomposition and restructuring .
Then entanglement , a weaving then reduction.
After a long period of unconsciousness a pull as if his existence was drawn to something then a violent squeeze into a cramped space followed by silence or maybe dormancy.
