Chapter 52 - The Wedding

Jay's POV

Six months later.

The ocean looked exactly the same as the day he proposed— soft waves, warm breeze, sky melting into gold.

But everything else?

Completely different.

Because today…

I wasn't standing in a white dress wondering what Keifer was doing.

I was standing in a white dress knowing exactly what he was doing.

Waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

The music started—soft, slow, something that felt like a heartbeat.

And suddenly everyone stood.

Tita Gemma was already crying. Angelo had tissues ready like he'd been warned. Aries, Keiren, Keigan, Percy—straightening their suits like they were about to enter a mission briefing.

Section E?

Chaos.

Yuri recording. Blaster waving like an idiot. Felix pretending he wasn't emotional. Drew whispering, "Bro she looks INSANE," loud enough for everyone to hear.

The girls—Freya, Ella, Grace, Rakki—were vibrating again. Some things never change.

My people were there too.

Mia, arms crossed, eyes soft. Brooke already crying. Andrew standing tall, protective as ever.

Drake?

Grinning like he owned the place.

Alys beside him, elegant, warm, absolutely part of the family now.

And then—

Keifer.

My breath caught.

He stood under the arch, dressed in white, the wind brushing through his hair, eyes locked on me like I was the only thing that existed.

My knees almost gave out.

Andrew noticed. He leaned in slightly. "You got this," he murmured.

I nodded.

Then I walked.

Every step felt unreal—like the world had slowed down just to let me feel everything.

Keifer's expression shifted with each step I took:

Shock. Awe. Love. Something deeper. Something that made my chest ache.

When I finally reached him, he let out a breath like he'd been holding it for years.

"Hi," he whispered.

"Hi," I whispered back.

He took my hands—warm, steady, grounding.

The officiant started speaking, but honestly?

I barely heard anything.

All I could hear was Keifer's breathing. All I could feel was his thumb brushing over my knuckles. All I could see was him.

Then it was time for vows.

He went first.

"Jay," he said, voice steady but eyes soft, "I used to think my life was already written. That I was meant for violence, for loneliness, for endings."

My throat tightened.

"But then you walked into my life," he continued, "and suddenly everything I thought I knew… changed."

He swallowed hard.

"You showed me I could be more. You showed me I could choose something better. You showed me I could choose you."

My eyes burned.

"You're my peace," he said quietly. "My fire. My reason. And I promise—every day, for the rest of my life—to choose you again."

I was gone.

Absolutely gone.

Then it was my turn.

I took a shaky breath.

"Keifer," I said, "I spent so long surviving that I forgot what living felt like."

His eyes softened.

"But you… you made me feel safe. You made me feel seen. You made me feel like I wasn't just fighting to stay alive—I was fighting for something worth living for."

His jaw clenched, emotional.

"You're stubborn," I said, smiling through tears. "You're reckless. You drive me insane. But you're also the bravest, kindest, most loyal person I've ever known."

He blinked fast.

"And I promise," I whispered, "to stand with you. To fight with you. To choose you. Every day. A million times."

He exhaled shakily.

The officiant smiled.

"Rings?"

Percy nearly tripped bringing them over. Section E laughed. Felix muttered, "Of course."

Keifer slid the ring onto my finger—slow, deliberate, like he was memorizing the moment.

I did the same.

"By the power vested in me—"

Keifer didn't wait.

He pulled me in and kissed me—

Soft at first. Then deeper. Certain. Forever.

The crowd erupted.

Brooke sobbing. Drake yelling, "LET'S GOOOOO." Alys laughing. Yuri screaming, "I GOT IT ON VIDEO." Blaster shouting, "SECTION E APPROVED." Mia wiping her eyes like she wasn't crying. Andrew smiling—actually smiling.

Keifer rested his forehead against mine.

"Mrs. Watson," he murmured.

I laughed.

"Mr. Watson."

He kissed me again.

The sun dipped lower. The waves kept moving. And surrounded by everyone we loved—

For the first time in our lives—

There was no chaos.

Just us.

Just home.
