Zack POV
After 5 hours of being unconscious I woke up feeling pains all over my body like I was being pounded by a group of giant at first I didn't get myself I couldn't see nothing , sight was very blurry could feel something dripping down from my head but can't tell what it was I tried to move then I noticed I was tied down against a solid pillar I really can't tell what happened the only thing I remembered was I came out from a saloon after getting a cut then I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head that knocked me out.
My vision was getting clear I could see ten masked men with rifles and swords couldn't tell who it was at that moment I kept my composure not to alert them that I'm awake so I stayed calm my mind thinking of what to do... Then the door opened and light shown on my face I couldn't see who it was but I could smell danger around me I stayed still with my eyes closed.
"Bring him to reality" a sharp cold voice strucked throw the air then I immediately knew who it was (Ka ming) my boss right hand man , at that moment I knew things isn't right , my mind flashed to my wife , my son , my mom and sister... they're all not safe that was when I started panicking... Then a bucket of cold salty water was poured on me my brain frozed for 10 seconds and started working again I breathe heavily trying to catcht breathe.
"Zack ka ming called out this was not the planed we discussed on phone a week ago , where's the money?" I couldn't give any answer then he asked again
"Where's the goddam money?" but this time with a heavy punch on my face.
"i told you to give me more time to raise the money I'll definitely get the money for you give me another chance" I pleaded with him...
" I gave you more than enough time to get the money but you failed and you know very well what happens when a deal is failed , y'all know very well Wai Lun hates disappointment " he said aloud sounding it as an advice and warning not only to me but other men around.
His phone rang and he walked away from where I was after the call he walked back to me bent down and said to my ear... "Wai Lun said if you want to see your wife and son again get his money ready before the end of next week" before I could say anything I felt a hard hit at the back of my head and again I passed out.
I woke up by the side of the road and i know very well I have been dumped here by Kai Mings men , I tried to cried but I couldn't I know very well it's not the right time to cry I barely stood up and waved at cars and trucks passing by but none stopped to help I stayed there for about an hour shivering couldn't hold or bare the pain any longer at the point of passing out a truck stopped and a man came down and walked to me... "Are you ok what on earth happened to you , was you hit by a car and dumped here?" he asked.
"Help me , "help me... That was all I could say , he picked me up and helped me In the truck and drove off.
I opened my eyes and found myself laying on a bed there was an old lady beside me cleaning me up with a hot water and a towel , I jumped up and tried to stand on my feet but unfortunately I fell and hit hard on the ground... "Take it easy you're not in a good state to walk now" the old lady said to me
"Where's the man that brought me here please?" I asked
" I no not where he went , last night he came to drop you off paid for ur treatments and left without leaving a number or anything to reach him , he only begged for me to take you in so I did" she responded.
I breathe down and hard but still couldn't stay because every 1 second I spend on this bed counts down so I had to go , I walked out and saw it was a local massage house , I didn't waste any more minute there I was worried about my wife and son "who knows what would have happened to my mom and younger sister" I said to myself in pain.
I arrived at my mom's house and saw cops outside the house with caution rope around the house I rushed to enter but was stopped by a cop.." Excuse me you're not allowed to enter the cops are on investigation here only relatives are allowed in " the cops said to me
" This is my mom's House" I shouted and rush into the living room I found my sister sitting in her couch crying and being questioned by a female cop and I looked straight to the dinning and saw my mom on the floor covered in a pool of blood I fell to my knees and cried aloud then my sister noticed I was around She walked straight to me looked into my eyes and hugged me sobbing hard "is mom dead" she asked
I couldn't keep the eye contact , I felt guilty because this business was the same thing that killed my dad , now same thing killed my mom I started regretting why I followed my dad drug legacy I was warned severally by my mom , sister and wife but I couldn't back down because of the huge money in the trafficking business.... The female cop came to me and was trying to question me I didn't give any attention because If I do I'll blow my cover and get arrested for illegal trafficking and selling of drugs , so I walked away with vengeance in my heart...
I arrived at my house walked in and I stepped on a chattered glass and found out it was a family photo I pick it up looked at it with tears in my eyes , I wiped my face walked into my room open my safe and bagged all the cash and 2 collections of guns I had and a couple of cell phones I pick one and called a childhood friend of mine who was in same drug business with me right from when we was in college...
Phone dialing!!!
"Yeah it's Xavier who am I speaking with?" Xavier asked
" It's Zack... Code Red" I replied to him
When I said the word code Red he knew something bad is up and he's the only buddy I trust right from our childhood days we have got each others back for more than 10 years now... I hanged up the call walked straight to my garage picked a car and drove off to our meeting spot.
