Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Wasn't it agreed that this place was only for players?

The cold light slashed sharply through the monster's body, splitting it in two.

The black body fell to the ground instantly, accompanied by a shower of red liquid. Almost simultaneously, Yin Xiu's left hand was pulled, and the little girl suddenly swayed from his arms.

"Brother, help—!" the little girl screamed in panic.

In a moment of distraction, Yin Xiu instinctively tried to protect the little girl on his left, but she disappeared extremely quickly, vanishing without a trace before she could even finish her cry for help. Wang Guang behind him also disappeared at the same time.

"Yin Xiu! Watch out ahead!" Zhong Mu shouted a warning.

Yin Xiu turned around, and the black monster had already pounced on him, its blood-red maw wide open, revealing sharp teeth that were already aimed at his head.

However, the next second, the long sword spun around, its blade piercing the monster's mouth, and its body was kicked back by Yin Xiu.

The two monsters vanished in an instant; the one behind them was even more ferocious, its bloodshot eyes fixed on him.

Yin Xiu took a deep breath, his eyes icy cold. He stared at the monsters, the hilt of his knife making a slight cracking sound.

Zhong Mu could tell that he was very angry. She was so frightened that she took two steps back and fell to the ground in fear, watching helplessly as Yin Xiu, wielding a long sword, charged into the black monster horde in an instant.

The monster didn't attack on its own; it went up to him. This was strange for Yin Xiu, who never even participated in arguments and preferred to remain calm and wait for the right moment. The only thing he could think of was that the monster was angry. He probably thought the little girl had been taken away by the monster.

In a moment of distraction, blood splattered everywhere among the monsters. The figures surging within couldn't even see Yin Xiu, but they could still catch a glimpse of the long sword. Wherever it touched, there were only the screams of monsters, extremely shrill.

It was more like he was slaughtering monsters than being attacked by them; the scene was extremely terrifying.

"Childhood monsters should be viewed in the presence of adult monsters."

"...No wonder they used to fight their way out of dungeons with this level of combat power."

"It's a bit scary, guys. I don't know why, but it made me a little scared."

"Hmm... he's in a killing frenzy. I'm sure this isn't the right way to do it, but... I can't stop him now, can I?"

"If he kills all the townspeople, will it affect the dungeon?"

"Maybe..."

"That's all Wang Guang's fault! I just saw him use a prop to snatch the little girl away!"

"He probably wants to abandon these people and run away."

"Seriously, is someone going to stop him? I'm really afraid he'll kill all the townspeople and it'll affect the dungeon."

"We can't stop them, can we? By the way, how are we supposed to get through here?"

"According to the rules, taking the little girl back will inevitably trigger this, so there must be a solution. Just follow the rules and don't go into the townspeople's houses."

"Is the one you're talking about that comes with a built-in solution?"

After Yin Xiu's bloody battle with the monsters, many of them retreated, seemingly wanting to run away. However, Yin Xiu would not let them leave.

At first, some monsters insisted on rushing forward to fight Yin Xiu, but as corpses fell one after another, the monster horde began to panic and retreated. No one dared to take the initiative to go forward again.

The situation slowly reached a stalemate. Just then, a familiar voice suddenly rang out from outside the monster horde, shouting, "In broad daylight! Who told you to come out of the house! Do you all have a death wish?!"

As soon as the voice rang out, the monsters seemed to have completed their mission. None of them wanted to stay any longer. In an instant, they scattered in all directions, fleeing haphazardly into their houses. With a bang, they slammed the doors shut. In the blink of an eye, the dense black street was cleared out, leaving only one figure standing in the middle of the road.

The person who came was the town mayor.

His gaze swept around the area littered with corpses, then focused on the figure in the very center.

Yin Xiu stood amidst the monster's corpses, holding a long sword. His white clothes were covered in blood, tinged with crimson. Drops of blood slid down the blade, just like his aura at that moment—sharp and dangerous.

"Is there something you need?" Yin Xiu stared at the town mayor, his pupils dark and cold, as if he were not alive.

Suddenly questioned, the mayor rubbed his hands awkwardly, "I heard it was noisy here, so I came to check on you...you didn't..."

He glanced around at Yin Xiu out of the corner of his eye, unable to bring himself to ask the concerned question. He could only slowly approach Yin Xiu, trying to ease the atmosphere, "It's good to see that you're all alright."

The middle-aged man, who looked quite imposing, smiled and spread his hands, his face gentle. "Don't be nervous. As the town mayor, I apologize to you for not managing the people of the town well. How about you put the knife away first?"

He took a step forward, and the blood-dripping tip of the knife swiftly touched the mayor's throat.

Yin Xiu's gaze was icy. "Where is Ya Ya?"

The town mayor looked completely innocent. "Who is Ya Ya? I don't know her."

Yin Xiu's eyes darkened, and the town mayor quickly explained, "I really don't know him!"

Zhong Mu quickly came over from behind, "Yin Xiu, that little girl wasn't taken by the monsters, it was Wang Guang!"

Yin Xiu glanced sideways at his back. Wang Guang had indeed disappeared at some point, but Li Mo was also nowhere to be seen.

"So it was him." Yin Xiu muttered to himself, reached up and rolled up the hem of his clothes to wipe the blood off the knife, then put it away.

He had suppressed his murderous intent, but his body was still surrounded by indifference, as if he had just crawled out of a pile of corpses, lifeless. Zhong Mu trembled for no reason when he was next to him.

The town mayor walked over with a smile, ignoring Zhong Mu, and stood firmly in front of Yin Xiu. He looked Yin Xiu up and down with interest before extending his hand to him kindly, "I hope you don't care too much about them. If you're scared, I'll take you back."

Yin Xiu ignored him and walked straight past him, completely disregarding him.

The mayor gave an awkward laugh, then turned and persistently followed behind Yin Xiu. "Where are you going? Back to the house? It's still dangerous in town. Let me go back with you."

He circled around Yin Xiu, his gaze fixed on him.

If Yin Xiu, usually dressed in white, resembles a beautiful statue when quiet, then Yin Xiu, now covered in blood, exudes a more terrifying beauty.

His skin was tinged with crimson, cold and indifferent, like a delicate corpse about to be placed in a coffin. Compared to the ugly monsters in the town, he was simply a noble work of art.

"Really? I'll take you back!" The mayor's voice was so excited he could hardly contain himself. He put his arm around Yin Xiu's shoulder, his tone a mix of threat and persuasion.

However, the moment he touched Yin Xiu's body, an invisible chill crept up the mayor's back, and some enormous pressure suddenly opened up, silently intimidating and threatening him.

He looked up in a panic and saw a figure standing in front of Yin Xiu. It was a smiling man who stood there motionless, holding the hand of a little girl wearing a black suit jacket on her head.

"I'm back." Li Mo smiled and greeted them softly. He licked the bloodstains on his fingertips, announcing the outcome of his recent departure.

On the surface, everything appeared calm, but an eerie and terrifying chill emanated from him, blatantly threatening, causing the townspeople in the surrounding houses to shrink back in fear.

The mayor's smile froze, and a chill ran down his spine.

...Wasn't it supposed to be for players only?

Who is this arrogant and threatening man in front of him?

It's not even in this instance!
