Chapter 350: Clues to Unlock the Rabbit Talisman!

Silas stared blankly at the elephant, unable to help but mutter, "I didn't expect the power of this ring to grant an elephant the same 'laser eye' ability as the Pig Talisman."

"Master," Big Black pointed to the massive hole behind Silas.

Silas turned to look at the damage. "It doesn't matter, as long as the experiment yielded results."

"What about this elephant?" Big Black looked at the creature, which was beginning to regain its mobility.

Silas glanced at the elephant, then at Big Black. "Do you want a pet?"

"Me?!" Big Black was stunned. Why was his Master suddenly bringing him into this?

"Yes," Silas said with a mysterious smile.

A Certain Plain

"Aaaaaah! Wait!" Big Black was riding on the back of the elephant, hurtling across the vast, endless grassland at high speeds.

The Shadow Kingdom

"Although the experiment was a success, it's still too dangerous," Silas mused. Even though he suspected the failure with humans was due to physical constitution, not a single person had survived. Was it a matter of strength, or some biological quirk specific to animals?

Until he had a 100% success rate, Silas decided to put the fusion experiments aside. His top priority should be finishing the Talisman collection. Once he had the Horse or Dog Talismans, he could experiment with total safety.

"System Space." Silas opened the interface he hadn't seen in a while. It was time for another random Talisman unlock. If he got the Horse Talisman this time, he felt he could truly start "playing around" without fear.

He entered the space—or rather, the Zodiac Space. Thanks to his efforts, the area was now covered in lush green grass and towering trees.

"Chee-chee-chee!" High in the trees, a dozen monkeys looked down at Silas, wanting to come down and greet him. Silas was no stranger to them. Among the twelve zodiac animals, monkeys were relatively weaker, and he had specifically chosen gentle golden snub-nosed monkeys rather than aggressive chimpanzees.

"Hello there," Silas greeted casually.

"Roar!" A magnificent tiger suddenly lunged out from the tall grass.

"Fat Tiger, have you been bullying them while I was away again?" Silas reached out and pinched the scruff of the tiger's neck.

Fat Tiger was a purebred Siberian tiger, a male, and one of the animals Silas had released into this space. Silas had originally intended to give him a fierce name like "Mountain King," but he found the tiger to be rather dim-witted and goofy. Thus, he settled on the simple name: Fat Tiger.

"Hrrrm..." Fat Tiger let out a submissive purr, rubbing his furry head against Silas as if complaining about being misunderstood.

"Give it a rest." Silas pushed him aside. Fat Tiger was essentially the king of this space; no one believed he was being "bullied."

After playing with the tiger for a moment, Silas got down to business. "Unlock the next Talisman."

"Unlocking the next Talisman... Success," the System stated.

The sky in the space shifted from its usual dark red to a brilliant, sky-blue. Suddenly, a white blur streaked past Silas, leaving no trace behind but a gust of wind.

"Fantastic." Silas already knew what it was.

A snow-white rabbit appeared before him. In its ruby-like eyes, a blue rabbit pattern glowed. Boom! The rabbit transformed into points of light and coalesced into a giant Rabbit Talisman sigil. Silas touched it, and the sigil shattered into text:

[As the champion of speed among animals, the rabbit's swift legs are the key.]

[Quest: Train a rabbit whose speed exceeds that of a cheetah.]

A lean, muscular cheetah appeared in the space. It licked its fur and lay down, staring at Silas.

"Where did this cheetah come from?" Silas was surprised by the System's "gift."

"This is a System-provided cheetah with a top speed of 300 km/h. The host must make a rabbit out-run this cheetah within a 200-meter sprint. Magic is prohibited," the System said coldly.

"How much?! 300 km/h?!" Silas was incredulous. Is this a cheetah or a Ferrari 488?!

"Meow~" The cheetah let out a high-pitched cry that sounded more like a kitten than a predator.

"Roar!" Fat Tiger saw the new partner and excitedly stepped forward to say hello. In a flash of yellow light, the cheetah vanished from sight.

"It's gone?" Silas's lip twitched. How was he supposed to compete with that?

However... the System said magic was forbidden, but it didn't say anything about technology. He could use genetic research to create a "Super Rabbit."

Silas left the Zodiac Space and decided to find a European Hare as his base subject.

Queens

"I'm glad you're back so early," Aunt May said, giving Silas a hug.

Silas smiled. "Want to go for a walk? I thought you might be bored staying in the house all day."

Aunt May was delighted. She loved that Silas made time for her, especially since he offered to take her shopping. After finding a suitable rabbit, Silas handed it over to Genji to begin the genetic modification process.

Oscorp Industries

"Parsing complete," Gaia announced.

"Find any clues?" Peter asked urgently.

"I'm sorry, Peter. They wiped the drive clean. There is no data left."

Peter sighed. They were incredibly cautious. Now, he only had one option: steal the physical files. But with researchers everywhere, it was difficult to move.

"Let's wait a bit," Peter said, hoping they'd leave.

"I think that's a bad idea, Peter. Why don't we leave a few Spider-Drones here and come back when it's empty?" Gaia suggested.

"Good point." Peter rubbed his head, embarrassed. He was so desperate for news of his parents that he wasn't thinking straight.

Just as he was about to deploy the drones, someone walked into the lab.

"Of course... Harry..." Peter knew Harry Osborn had to be involved. As the head of Oscorp, there was no way he didn't know about these experiments.

"How is the progress?" Harry asked coldly.

"Everything is smooth. The serum has been modified. Once we have the results, we can inject at any time," Adolf replied.

A look of joy finally crossed Harry's face. "Inject me. Now."

"But we haven't finished the animal trials," Adolf frowned. "It's too risky. We need results first."

"I said do it!" Harry roared.

"...Yes, sir." Adolf didn't argue further. The Osborns were famous for their tempers; they were used to it.

"What kind of genetic experiment are they doing?" Peter wondered. Harry was running a secret lab right under everyone's nose. "Is it something radioactive like the spider?"

Peter clenched his fists. This was dangerous. But since Harry was experimenting on himself, Peter didn't have a legal reason to stop him—yet.

"Let's see what happens," Peter whispered.
