Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: Junior (Narrator: Yuki)

"Junior," huh?

After physics being our last class, this is the last thing I want to hear.

I want to believe this is a dream, but everything feels painfully real.

"Kim, we need to find someone.

If you don't have your phone, then we need to get out of here.

This is getting scary."

"What about David!?"

"Who?"

"My friend."

Good grief.

"Kim, if it's this dark outside, do you really think your friend is still in the school?"

"Well WE'RE here…"

"Right now our priority is leaving. You can think about your friend later."

"Okaaay…"

I take Kim with me and move down the hallway.

The atmosphere is nothing like an ordinary school evening.

Lights flicker, small sparks crackle from the ceiling,

and the "Junior…" announcement hasn't stopped.

Each echo tightens something inside my chest.

Kim walks with his head slightly down.

He must be struggling to process all this.

Going down the stairs, something on the wall catches my eye.

"Kim—look at the wall!"

"Huh?"

It takes him a moment to lift his head.

"It's a wall… so?"

"It's gone…!"

Even though it was only for a second, I'm sure I saw The Scream painting there.

Something is deeply wrong.

And the "Junior" echo keeps multiplying—

my heart squeezing harder each time.

We reach the end of the hallway—

Where the exit door should be.

But instead—

There's nothing.

Just a blank, seamless wall.

No door.

No frame.

Not even a trace that something used to be there.

My breath stops.

This isn't our school anymore.

This place…

is something else.
