THIRD POV.
Daisy was sweet . She was kind and spoke so softly you could never think of her even harming s gly.
Her big blue eyes widened everytime she got excited about something someone said and she would chuckle softly . The sound of her laughter felt like the feeling someone had laying down in a field full of sunflowers just soaking on the sun.
Her long blonde hair matched with all her features making her look like a fairy when she stood in the sun. Her slender figure and long legs glistened in the sun almost blinding you if you stared too much.
It didn't matter if people thought she was perfect Nick didn't think she was. If anything Nick thought she was unbearable.
He hated every second that he had to spend with her . Her hated the sound of her laughter ,hated that she found everything funny.
Most of all he hated the way she acted around people. He hated how performative she was . Hated how her smile woukd turn into disgust the moment the cameras were not on them.
He hated the way she talked about people she seemed to be lesser than her and most of all he hated how much she lived him.
They had known each other since they were kids and he could remember if he ever liked her all he knew was as they got to age he hated her guts .
It wasn't the fact that she was spoilt rich that disgusted him because he was used to money too. He just hated that she thought everything had to go her way.
He had tried so much to love her but couldn't. He had beaten himself up so many times fir nit being able to love her but he just couldn't. He couldn't imagine himself sleeping in the same bed with someone he could barely tolerate.
They both k ew it couldn't work but just went along with it because it was what their parents wanted for them.
You see Daisy was an oil princess. Her father owned the biggest oil business in the middle east . He was in business with Nick's father and in their world that's how marriages worked.
You had to marry someone who came from the same financial privilege as you. Daisy had to be married into a family that had power and she wasn't sad about the union since she had wanted Nick.
She knew he didn't love her and some days she would cry about ut and then some days she would just ignore it. She knew whether he wanted it or not they had to get married. There was no way Nick would go against his father .
She didn't care that it was going to be a loveless marriage she just wanted to be married to him.
As she stared put the window of her car her fingers rubbed the rock on her finger and smiled .
The world had loved every second of her engagement pictures and she had smiled everytime she read the comments people left but they didn't know that she had done it all by herself . How would she tell the world that Nick didn't care if they had gotten engaged or not . How would she tell them that she had to beg him for him to even do a photoshoot with her so that they would show the world they were ready to tie the knot .
It didn't matter though she had the ring and people would stop asking her when they were planning to get engaged . The more she thiught about it te more she got pissed that she allowed that kind if treatment when there were men would give her a whole kingdom if she just agreed to be with them.
"We are here miss ",her chauffer Ranjit said as he came to her side and opened the door for her .
"Thank you Ranjit ",she said as she got off the car .
The cold New York breeze hit her in the face but she was trying to get used to the cold. The noise in the streets bothered her the most but her future husband lived in New York so it's not like she really had much of a choice in trying to avoid the city .
She made her way to the entrance of Nick's company a smile already plastered on her face ready to make the people inside loved .
She smiled and waved at everyone who stared at her . She let out a sigh of relief the moment she entered the elevator already irritated that she had to repeat the routine the moment she made it to Nick's floor .
The elevator stopped and hurriedly exited it ready to go see Nick. Her heels clicked against the marble floor startling people and making them turn around to see who it was .
Amanda ,Nick's secretary was shocked seeing Daisy there but didn't let it show on her face. She had thought that the rolex and the flowers she had been asked to buy were for Daisy but there was no way they were for her when she was there in the office looking for Nick when Nick had already left with the office.
"Hi Amanda ",Daisy said smiling as she placed the box of pastries on top of Amanda's desk .
Amanda didn't really like her . She thiught Daisy was insufferable, she didn't like that she was always smiling sometimes it looked it hurt just to smile .
Or maybe it was the fact that Daisy insisted on bringing her pastries eberytime she came to the office knowing we'll she didn't eat neither milk nor wheat .
She hated having to remind her everytime so she choose to just not remind her and ended up either throwing them away or letting them sit on her desk and whoever wanted them would take them.
"Hi ,he is not in. Something came up and he had to rush to the factories ",Amanda said smiling.
Daisy knew she was lying . Apart from being Nick's fiancee she also handled all the campaigns of all the products the factories produced. She had been by the factory just before deciding to stop by the office so she knew he wasn't there and she gould figure out why Amanda was lying to her or covering for Nick.
"Oohh okay ,tell him I came by ",Daisy said the smile on her lips no longer there now replaced with a frown.
She was jealous of everyone in Nick's life . Jealous that they had to experience him in ways she never experienced him. Jealous that even when the whole world knew he was hers he still wasn't hers .
She hate that she had to fight fir his attention. Jealous that he was happy without her . Disgusted by the fact that he was unhappy with her. Everything she did was for him but nothing made him like her more .
She know he was seeing other women just too scared to ask or even find out .
Most of all she hated that no matter what he did she never stopped loving him.
