Year 2042, Japan has been evolved to another degree. AI has taken over the world, robots took over the world, they are now working more than personal assistance. They are now in every day life, helping their "owner" to be productive, help in every way possible. AI has been used for a greater purpose- yes, there might be evil people that use it for bad stuff- but they would be quickly arrested and charged. So, AI has been used for a greater purpose. How? Simple, students didn't cheat for tests and learn nothing... "forced", but more compelled to use it... they were taught to learn and use it, fit into their lives. So, Japan... she evolved, building even more buildings, expanding their fields of economy, helping dear farmers and turning them into a businessmen. The average IQ in Japan has been raised to 125, truly unreal... AVERAGE.
Hayashi, Ren.
Ren is a born genius, everything he ever did, he did in a perfect way. Even if it is a simple workspace arrangement, he needed to move it in a perfect centimeter from the edge, for an example. When he was born, his parents, both workaholics, wanted him to use AI, and he did... but when he hit puberty, everything changed. At the age of 10, he made a decision that would distance himself from his father. Mogi Hayashi, his father, is a large head in business. He made one of the largest conglomerate in Japan and in Asia, his AI personal assistance tool was immeasurably good, trusted and well respected amongst the competition. So that left Kaori Hayashi with Ren, she left her job from the family business and devoted her life to raising Ren through puberty. Ren was like no other kid, he was silent and distant from his mom too, and when Kaori bought him a laptop, everything collapsed. Whenever he would be home, he'd be in his room, studying and researching. Mathematics and logic was his stronger side.
He had a schedule, at 5:00 in the morning, he would slip in his sneakers and go on a morning run. He wouldn't miss a step, he'd dodge any pebble since he would be running around the block. Then he would return home, shower and brush his teeth, even that would be done perfectly... giving himself some motivation for the day. at 6:10, he would make a nutritious ramen with boiled eggs. He had to maintain that perfect frame, he seem like he is thin and tall, but he has some muscles to his bones. At 6:30, he will hop in the his school uniform, perfectly tying his tie and buckling his belt. He'd fix the sleeves, straightening the fabric of the shirt and would give himself a look before going out. At 6:55, he'd arrive to his high school, Asakura High, where local kids tend to go. It's one traditional looking school with a lot of history... Built in 1999, it had some incidents, but nothing too critical. Ren loved being there, he had one and only friend that goes with him in all classes. At 7:00, he comes in the classroom and sits next to the window, he had a stern expression, but would talk gently with a low tone whenever he'd be approached or asked a question. Shun Okabe, his classmate, a friend of sorts. Shun is a chubby sweet guy with a wavy hair, a bit greasy, anyways, he's a nice friend to Ren, Shun used to be his middle school friend as well, and since that day, he'd stick with Ren. Shun would always talk with Ren during the class breaks, lunch break and sometimes during the classes, but would never shatter Ren's icy demeanor.
After one day at school, Ren would occasionally walk home and arrive at 14:20. Sometimes breaking that 'rule' and visit a nearby library, looking for a new book that he never read... but, too unlucky for that, that's the only times when he would get "angry", at least slip out of the mood.
