Chapter 2 - CHAPTER-2

Scene 1 - The mansion of power

Rain patters softly outside the enormous Kang estate. The sky is red-hued, like it borrowed its color from the one who owns the house.

Inside, Kang Su Hyun sits in silence-legs crossed, gaze fixed on nothing. His mind replays the corridor scene on loop: that brief second when everything froze, when time itself bowed down-and when his eyes turned red without his command.

He clenches his jaw. A flicker of energy escapes his fingertips, and the glass window shatters into shards that hover mid-air, suspended like snowflakes.

Dad: "Su Hyun... again?"

Su Hyun: (smirking) "I'm powerful, father. Isn't this what you made me?"

His father, Kang Il Jae, the head of the most feared clan in Seorah, enters quietly-his eyes cold, proud.

Il Jae: "Power doesn't mean destruction. Control is strength."

Su Hyun: (leaning forward) "Then tell me why I couldn't control myself today."

Il Jae: "What happened?"

Su Hyun: (hesitant) "My eyes... turned red. Without command. And everything... froze."

A long silence. The father looks startled, almost fearful.

Il Jae: "That's... impossible."

Su Hyun: "So you've never seen this before?"

Il Jae: "No. Never. Maybe-your powers are evolving. Awakening something new."

Su Hyun smiles dangerously.

Su Hyun: "So... more power?"

Il Jae: "Perhaps. I'll summon the Chancellor tomorrow. He should see this himself."

Su Hyun nods. But deep in his eyes, confusion hides behind arrogance. Because that cold air, that golden flicker-none of it felt like his own power.

Scene 2 - The golden secret

Night settles quietly over Park Seron's small home. She stands by the window, moonlight glowing against her wrist-the tattoo faintly pulsing gold.

She traces it softly, whispering to herself.

Seron: "Why... today? Why now?"

Her mother storms in, irritation filling the air.

Mother: "Why are you still awake? Did you even clean my room?"

Seron: (smiling) "I did, Mom. Just looking at the moon."

But then curiosity spills from her lips before she can stop it.

Seron: "Mom... have you ever seen my tattoo glow? Like... golden?"

Her mother freezes, eyes widening. For a heartbeat, fear replaces anger.

Mother: "Golden? No one has seen that color in centuries. Are you sure it wasn't a trick?"

Seron: "It was real. Bright and warm. Like light on water."

Her mother sits down slowly.

Mother: "Listen, Seron. Everyone in this world is born with a power color. Red is the strongest-it rules. But once, there was gold... a power said to heal the world itself. Until it disappeared. Golden meant control over red. It was dangerous, divine."

Seron blinks, stunned.

Seron: "Then... how can it appear again?"

Mother: "It can't. Maybe someone used illusion on you. You don't even have powers, remember?"

The lie feels heavier than ever. Seron smiles faintly to hide her heartbreak.

Seron: "Right... maybe just a prank."

But when her mother leaves, the tattoo glows softly once more.

Scene 3 - Morning of destiny

Sunlight filters through Su Hyun's room. He dresses with his usual effortless style-his coat floats onto his shoulders, his tie tightens itself.

Downstairs, The Chancellor-an old man with knowing eyes-sits with Su Hyun's parents.

Chancellor: "Su Hyun. Your father says something... unusual happened."

Su Hyun: "You could say that."

He explains everything-the red eyes, the frozen moment, the cold air.

The Chancellor's eyes widen.

Chancellor: "The red... The true red. Su Hyun, you possess the purest flame-one that hasn't appeared for a century."

Su Hyun: "Everyone knows I'm powerful."

Chancellor: "No, listen. The red awakens only when its destined gold is near. You may have met your counterpart."

The room stills.

Su Hyun: (laughing coldly) "Gold? That's a myth. Gold died long ago."

Chancellor: "Maybe not. The golden power is the only one that can tame red."

His smirk fades instantly.

Su Hyun: "Control me? No one controls me."

The air grows hot. All the glass in the room explodes outward as he storms off.

Scene 4 - Morning at Seron's house

Seron hums softly while feeding the birds again.

Seron: "Sorry, my friends. I'm late. Don't steal my breakfast, okay?"

She runs off, unaware that a single feather lands on her glowing wrist. The gold flickers briefly before fading.

Scene 5 - Seorah University

The campus buzzes with chaos. Students practice powers-levitating objects, freezing fountains, summoning sparks.

And then Su Hyun arrives.

A ripple of silence spreads instantly. Everyone's powers fizzle out mid-air. Floating objects crash, fireballs vanish. All eyes turn toward him.

Student whisper: "He's here..."

Another: "Don't make eye contact."

He walks like he owns the air itself, Da Bin laughing beside him.

Da Bin: "Bro, even the vending machine stopped working when you walked in."

Su Hyun: "As it should.

Meanwhile, Seron rushes into class, breathless.

The room looks like a jungle-trees everywhere, vines crawling. She gasps.

Seron: "What the-?"

Min Ji: (laughing) "Relax, it's just my illusion spell again."

Seron: "You scared me!"

Min Ji: "You could've used your powers to stop it."

Seron: (softly) "Min Ji... promise you won't tell anyone, but... I don't have any powers."

The laughter fades.

Min Ji: "What? That's not possible. Everyone has something."

Seron: (smiling shyly) "Maybe I'm just... normal."

Min Ji: (smiling back) "Then that explains why you're the only pure soul here."

They laugh softly-but her wrist glows under the table, unnoticed.

Scene 6 - The Red and the Gold Interfere

Evening falls. Su Hyun and his friends hang out near the courtyard, teasing younger students. His power flares-books fly, lockers shake.

Da Bin: "You're scaring them again."

Su Hyun: "They should be scared."

Suddenly, the air freezes.

Sound dies. Wind halts.

Da Bin's laughter cuts off mid-note. Everyone turns into still statues.

Su Hyun stands, shocked.

Su Hyun: "What-? Who did this?"

He looks around-nothing moves. Not even the falling leaves. He starts walking; each step echoes in eerie silence.

Across campus, Seron stands frozen too-but moving.

Her friends mid-laugh, mid-motion.

She drops her notebook in shock.

Seron: "What... what's happening?"

She closes her eyes tightly.

Seron: "Please... stop."

And just like that-the world restarts. Laughter returns, voices echo, wind rushes.

Seron clutches her wrist, heart racing.

At the same moment, Su Hyun exhales hard.

Su Hyun: "Someone... someone just challenged my control."

The red in his eyes flashes again-stronger this time.

Scene 7 - Ending Montage

Seron walks home, confused and scared, her reflection in puddles glowing gold.

Su Hyun sits on his balcony, watching flames dance around his palm.

Both whisper at the same time-

Seron: "What's happening to me?"

Su Hyun: "Who are you?"
