ELIANA JONES POV

Shoot!, l glanced at the clock on the wall which read 8:30am. I spranged up from my messy bed and rushed to the bathroom barefooted. I stared at the mirror, my afro hair pointing in different directions. I looked like a mess and l knew if l continued standing there, l will be late for class. I did my morning routine, prepared myself before locking my studio size apartment. I worked three part time jobs here in Newyork. This is the only way l can survive. Luckily, l got scholarship to study here so l don't have to worry about paying full tuition fees. I had an early shift yesterday, one of our coworkers has given birth so l will be taking over. I had to rush to McDonald's to start my shift. Sorry, my battery died and l couldn't reach out to you. I am sorry that l made you worried.

Oh, it's nothing, l understand now. She patted my back and gave me a warm smile. Amy is the only friend l have , two years of solid friendship. She is a beautiful blonde fairy, her style is effortlessly chic. She wore a fitted jeans and graphic tee showcasing her love for fashion. Her blonde hair is always styled in a trendy way and her smile could light up a room.

Amy and l made our way to the school cafeteria. I bumped into someone, as l fell a scorching hot coffee splashed onto my shirt. I let a pained yelp
