"Fucking CEO, this place smells." Leah frustratedly sighed as she began cleaning the table that the CEO and his so-called girlfriend had spent working on.
"Wow, I had no idea working brought so much dirt and smell," she said to herself, since she could not dare say that aloud. In all her years of working, she had never entered the CEO's office, and yet now she was being called by his so-called girlfriend to clean this place up. It was not like she was the cleaner or something, but of course, what could she say? She wanted to keep her job.
She reluctantly moved as she began cleaning the chairs as well.
'Mr. CEO did not only do this on the table but on the see-through window as well,' Leah said to herself as she rolled her eyes. She cleaned the chair; she had no intention of moving to the window. She was not a cleaner but a worker, not to mention she had lots of work to do — the files they had dumped on her after the so-called CEO said he had an important job.
If not because this so-called company had good pay, she would not have spent her time doing any silly thing here.
Not to mention the office smelled so bad.
"How did he breathe while doing, or did the love also act as a nose mask?" she spoke as she arranged the papers together, all while mouthing insults at him. She dared not say a word, knowing the kind of trouble she would enter. As if that was not enough—
The door opened, and standing there was the cleaner. She was holding a mop stick, rag, and bucket. A sigh of relief finally left Leah's lips as she was finally glad she could leave this suffocating room. She silently prayed the smell had not clung to her body. She wasn't even sure the CEO would be coming now, as this stupid man had canceled a meeting that was supposed to start five minutes ago because his so-called girlfriend wanted him to follow her to get the latest bag that Pramal just released.
"Thank heavens you're here. You can finish from where I stopped. I have lots of work to do today," Leah spoke with a little hope. At least she wouldn't be leaving very late today — she had her favourite movie series to catch up to.
But to her surprise, the cleaner just dropped the mop, bucket, and rag on the floor as she turned and spoke.
"Who said I am the one cleaning? I only brought the things you would need for this. After all, they sent you to clean, not me," the janitor spoke with a wide smile on her lips.
Leah's lips parted in shock as she could not believe this lady. Wasn't this her work?
"What do you mea—" before she could finish her sentence, the door slammed with a resounding bang as the lady left. Leah just stood there dumbfounded as she could not believe what she had just heard. Was this not the lady's work?
"Ah, fuck, fuck, fuck," she cursed as she smacked the table hard. She did not understand how she had turned from a worker in this company to a janitor. Not to mention, the first time she was entering a CEO's office was to clean the mess he and his girlfriend had left.
She moved as she picked up the mop and began cleaning. Tonight she would have a thorough bath and also make sure to wash her hands properly.
"Pig," she muttered to herself.
This had all happened when she decided to grab a coffee, as she felt she needed some to fight any iota of sleep thanks to the workload given to her — and her pay had not even increased one bit.
"Wait till your wife hears about your cheating deeds," she said out loud.
"What did you say?"
A deep, cold voice vibrated through the room as her body froze in shock. Standing there was none other than the CEO.
