Mariah woke up with a start, this dream again. She checked the time and it two o'clock in the morning and she don't feel like sleeping again so she went to her study to go through the files she requested.
She must say, her new secretary is very good and thorough. About an hour time she was done sorting out the file and marking out errors.
She returned to the bedroom to sleep but couldn't because a certain someone keeps appearing in her sleep.
After their little banter in his office, they seem to be ignoring each other's presence which is what she wants right but why is she a little sad that they are not in normal talking terms.
She agreed that she was rude to him that day but that was her because he started acting as an abandoned husband of hers.
But is she sorry?....No
Will she apologize?... definitely not .
She wants things to stay like this between, only interacting for work purposes.
So she fell asleep with Javier on her thought. Morning came faster, she got up and head to the shower and then prepared for the day. She decided to wear a simple black blazer today and as usual her long hair is combed back with a very minimal makeup.
Just as she was about to leave a call came in as unknown number but how could she forget this number.
That day, she called him for help but he stood there while she was being framed and he didn't even give her the benefits of doubt so what's his problem now but she answered as she started driving her car to LGADO EMPIRE .
Unknown: Mariah....are you back.
Mariah: Why, are you going to report to your mother so that she finish what she couldn't that day.
Unknown: Please don't say that,we are very ashamed of what happened that day and she never stopped thinking about you since the truth came out.
Mariah: So you feel bad because you were deceived resulting in throwing out your own blood but not because you feel remorse of what you did. Do me a favor,stop disturbing me and continue to live your life like she said that day, "you are dead to the Rivera family". Don't disturb my life or you won't have peace in your life either.
She ends the call as she parks her car and started walking into the company. She paused lightly when she saw Javier standing in front of the company main door.
She walks over and greets him professionally before entering the company to her office.
Javier watches as she left after greeting him. This week was not easy for him at all. He couldn't concentrate on anything especially during meetings when she is so focused on her job, scolding people here and there. During her one week here, he learned that she is what her file said about her ,even more that.
She always goes through every proposal, making sure that there's no company money leaking out. What more she is going through all the old files making sure that everything is in order.
At one meeting, she made one of our partners fainted and then personally called the ambulance for him. She is really ruthless when attacking her opponent.
But what did I get, formal greeting or nothing. The other day in office was partly my fault. I should've talked to her politely but I lost it when she said we are nothing but strangers which is true but I don't know why I become vexed anytime i think about that.
It's seems I have to start acting as a hookup to her if I want to get close to her.
Crazy right, you had one night stand with someone and now it's seems like you can't function because you are nothing to her.From now she can continue to act like a stranger to me,I will also act as the stranger she wants.
The door suddenly opened and only one can bastard can do that, Lorenzo.
Lorenzo:: What a beautiful day it is to appear before his royal Majesty.
Javier : What the fuck are you doing here,are bored with all the whores around you .
Lorenzo: Of course I miss you my darling and I want to come and cuddle you.( laughs).
Javier: Say whatever you are here for or get lost and you have five minutes.( With a frown on his face).
Lorenzo :Ok grumpy man, I heard the new finance manager is very beautiful and hot. when coming up here I heard some of workers saying that she's like ice goddess so I want meet her, can I?( he smirked when he saw Javier's dark face)
Javier: She's off limits,yo.....
( A knock came) enter...

As usual her face is so cold as ice as she stares at him,but wait why does it seems she is rather glaring at him.
Javier : how may I help you Miss Rivera.
Mariah: I need your signature on these files,she said as place files on his table. Why do you send my secretary away when she brought the files earlier.
Javier: I sent her away because I'm busy right now so I would have signed it later.
Mariah: Well sir with due respect, I don't have the luxury to wait so I need your signature on the files right now.
Lorenzo: (shocked) Hello pretty lady,my name is Lorenzo,a very good friend of your boss. Mind if I get your attention a little.
Mariah: Mr. whatever your name,can please shut up cause I'm busy here . Sir I'm waiting for the signature.
Lorenzo : woah you are so rude, your mouth will get you into trouble one day.
Mariah: I know but don't I won't call you when the time comes.
Lorenzo:: what's your name..?
Mariah:: None of your business.
Lorenzo : what's your position in this company..
( Javier answered him this time,he is afraid that Miss Rude will beat his up if he provoke her further).
Javier: She is the new chief Finance manager.
(he says as Mariah glared at Lorenzo making him chuckle, this lady and her " I don't a fuck' attitude)
Lorenzo :(shocked and surprised face) what the fuck....

" I need the files signed before the close of the day " Mariah said as she turned and left the office.
